The hotel as such is OK. You may get good views. Internet speed is very fast. Main problem was excessive noise. The air conditioning system makes a constant humming sound. Then there is aircraft noise and traffic and other mechanical noises. I checked out early as it was impossible to sleep. Checkout staff not interested.

The Westin San Diego is a wonderful hotel. The staff greet you with a smile and are willing to help you with anything you need. The rooms are beautiful with a great view of the bay or the Coronado Bridge. This hotel is extraordinary in its service and friendliness. I would recommend anyone stay there. This Westin also has a shuttle service that will pick you up from the airport, take you to the airport, and it even dropped us off at our crew ship the morning we left the hotel. Their service is second to none. Great hotel.
We just spent a week at the Westin and were very impressed with the quality and service. All staff were very helpful. We asked for and received a generous late stay time to accommodate our late flight. Quality of bedding is excellent with four pillows per bed. After 4 pm the lobby offers hot chocolate and delicious apple cider. The hotel,is located in the business district so it is very quiet, but is located within a ten minute walk of he Gaslamp and Little Italy districts as well as the Embarcadero and Seaport Village and the Midway museum. The 215 and number 7 bus runs right in front of the hotel and will take you to Balboa Park and the Zoo. Not much in the immediate area if you need toiletries or reading materials and I didn't see an in hotel store. There is a 7 eleven around the corner if needed for limited items. The pool is under renovation at present
"The worst business Hotel, ever"
The Westin San Diego has no Customer service or satisfaction, at all. They only try to get as much money out of your pocket as possible, they are 100% inflexible, the response in communication is very slow, you need to send questions a couple time to get the right answers, they send important information last minute or after a couple time of re-asking, Pro-activity is certainly one thing they are not aware of and the capacity-chart they send is far beyond any reality.

Really good hotel. Kind of a typical high level business hotel, but with consistent service and good rooms. Nice views of the bay. Breakfast is excellent and the price is ok. Very good fitness center and outdoor pool. Very well located (close to Gaslamp Quarter and Little Italy). Nice options for dining and for entertainment. Recommended.
