"Terrible valet and lacking in-room amenities"
Firstly, I'm an SPG gold member and stay in hotels around the world regularly. This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Check-in was a disaster, after calling ahead from the airport I was told the room would be available at least 1 hour early (2pm), I get to the hotel and sit waiting until 4pm (check in is at 3pm) for the room, a Deluxe Suite, to be ready. Why did they tell me something different when I called ahead' Also when checking in, the staff member had her crusty foot wrapped in a cast propped up on the desk staring me in the face, gag! The only on-site restaurant a greasy spoon with mostly burgers and fries on the menu. Dissapointing. The valet is a complete joke, my vehicle lights were left on in the garage 4 hours after they parked it (how does that even happen with auto lights), no one approaches the car when you return to the hotel, the windows are left open on a 35 degree morning, the radio will be blaring when you start your vehicle, calling ahead to have your car brought to the front is a waste of time. I emailed the Guest Services Manager, Scott, about the valet issues but I got no response. Save the $57 they charge to valet, otherwise, make sure your insurance is valid due to the way the drivers speed through the garage! Lastly, I book suites around the world with SPG and other competitors, this is the first time I've never found bathroom slippers in the room. It seems small, but where are they' Over three days the ice maker was "being repaired" on my floor. I called guest services to ask if there was a Notary on staff at the hotel to sign some documents, I was quickly told no. I later learned that the Concierge who had worked at the hotel for over 10 years was a notary and available to notarize. Staff needs to be more aware of services available. When I spend upwards of $2,000 for a 3 night weekend stay I expect better and more professional service. SPG has some making up to do! (housekeeping was the only positive at this hotel)
"A very good stay"
This was our second stay at The Westin Seattle. Our stay was pretty similar to our last stay but with two added bonuses. 1) We got a room on a high floor 2) We got free wifi. I will admit wifi is a big deal for me. I use it a lot, and I refuse to pay for it, since it is usually very expensive in hotels. Alltogether it was a very nice stay, and we will come back for sure next time we are in Seattle.
Lee and her team at The Westin Seattle do an awesome job looking after and responding to the needs of their guests! More than made up for the weather. Get the SPG credit card and stay at their hotels to get elite membership benefits.
"Great view of the city lights!!"
Some of the most comfortable beds I was able to enjoy here at the Westin. We had wonderful views of the city and all of the Christmas lights in downtown during our visit from our room. The staff was nothing less than exceptional !
We stayed for the Seattle Marathon. Check in was easy, restaurant was great. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Awesome location, close to everything. Everything was great, except parking... horribly overpriced for that!
