"Shelter from the Storm"
Spent a rainy weekend in Seattle, use to be from Seattle, now we only come to the land of many people to luxuriate, shop, and enjoy the fine restaurants and the view. Uggg, the view!! We use to enjoy the views of the waterfront, the ferrys . . . . now, even though we were on the 37th floor, you look across at a myriad of other buildings between you and the water. Cant be helped I guess. While the service seemed helpful and accommodating, it took us 20 minutes to get through the check in line. We enjoyed the room, the comfortable bed being at the top of the list. Very nice mattress, linens, and pillows. Sleeping was a dream. But there is no refer in the room!!! What's with that. There is another funny box that had cold cokes, cold beer ect so I took them out to keep some seafood cold that we bought from Pike Street Market. BUT the refrigerated box that the cokes were in, automatically charges your room bill when a coke is taken out. Does not matter if you put it back in, you get charged. The front desk thought that I looked like an honest guy, and kindly credited my account when I explained. He shared that the next time they will move a small refrigerator into the room for $10. Silly me. So in summary, the Westin Rooms and Staff are just as classy and nice as they have been for 30 years, but they have come up with all kinds of funny ways to make extra margin on your visit. Be Careful! We still very much enjoyed ourselves, AND we learned how entertaining it is to sit and view into 60 families living rooms of the building across the street!
Stayed here for 5 nights during a work conference. Clean, friendly and classy hotel. I am not a fan of the city itself, I did not feel safe walking alone after dark and the eateries were a bit pricey to me.
"Avoid room service"
Great location, clean rooms, and vet nice staff. But was astounded at the prices for room service. I should note not just the price but 30 minute wait turned in to almost two hours and the breakfast was horrible. Very disappointed.
Have stayed in this hotel for years. Love its location, amenities and comfort. Staff are gracious and pleasant, not stuffy. We got a great deal on Priceline, so happy surprise that it was the Westin! You can't go wrong.
"Change of pace"
Attended a conference at Seattle Westin. The location is very convenient, less than 5 minute walk to light rail station located over at Nordstrom. The hotel staff...very helpful and courteous....room service was great. The beds were extremely comfortable, best sleep in a while. I enjoyed the stay. Public parking in Stewart... $10 on weekend, $14 during week.... $30 for 24 hour parking.
