Whenever my husband and I come to Seattle we always stay at the Westin. It is in an awesome location right in the heart of downtown. Within walking distance to just about everything.. malls, Pike Place Market, movie theatres, food etc. The staff are always very professional and helpful, and the rooms are always very clean. The view from this hotel is amazing so be sure to ask to stay on a higher floor!
"Great location. Clean and solid staff."
They were working on the elevators and things moved pretty slow a few times. Other than that, great stay. Enjoyed the location. Great restaurants nearby. Nice lobby and bar area to meet up with work colleagues. Breakfast was excellent.
"Jaw dropping view...44th Floor"
Busy place, efficient valet parking and front desk staff. We were able to check in early and received a room on the 44th floor. Elevators are super slow and as a result jam packed. King size bed, clean, modern room and bathroom. View was so amazing I doubt I would have noticed anything else. Sweeping view from the Puget Sound to the Space Needle with snow covered mountains as a backdrop. I literally pulled a chair to the front of the window to watch the ships and activity by day and the lights at night. It was stunning. Very central location to Pike Market and the waterfront as well as shopping district.
"Decent stay ... not superb!"
We often take the Westin in Seattle when being on a business trip. It offers a decent stay, but it is not great or superb which mainly has to do with mediocre staff. It is the "little things", which make the difference! And: Do not drink a Gin Tonic at the hotel's lobby bar since it is just expensive and quality-wise bad! Also useless to be a SPG Member: I was offered a room on the 7th floor next to the elevator with nothing special inside (fruits' anything else special'). But I was offered to skip daily housekeeping service for USD 5/day or paying USD 20/day more to climb up to a higher floor - ridiculous! (Perhaps I am so critical because I was coming from Canada where I stayed at a Fairmont fir equal money'!)
"Nice hotel, good location"
About a kilometer to Pike Market, nice quiet rooms. Mine was on the 43rd floor with a peekaboo view of the Puget Sound, but a full view of the ventilation fans on a neighboring rooftop. They did offer to move me that night, but I had settled in by that point. Under some renovation, eg. Elevators, but I wasn't in a huge rush. Walking to flagship REI and Starbucks. Beds were almost too soft. Good overall stay.
