Location is very close to Copacabana beach. Just across the street and you find the beauty of the beach. The room and its bathroom are spacious. They provide bathrobe and standard amenities. The breakfast is full of choices. The staff speaks English. From 19th floor, you can see Copacabana in whole. Overall, good impression for me.
"Great Views, Great position just metres from the beach"
Stayed at the Windsor Leme Hotel in Rio for three days late January, through early February and enjoyed almost everything about our stay. Just metres from the beachfront and walking distance to a large shopping centre the hotel position suited us fine. Check in was quick and faultless, but check out was exactly the opposite, painfully slow due to the influx of guests from a cruise ship. Not only was the lobby filled with guests trying to check in, but luggage was strewn all over the lobby area making it difficult to get out of one of the three lifts. The hotel knew of this influx of guests, but still only had two persons behind the counter doing the check in. Our view overlook the hills of Rio including the statue of Christ, but better views can be had from the front of the hotel where views would be overlooking the beachfront. The room was to our satisfaction with all expected amenities and a large comfortable bed. There was no internal or external noise to interrupt sleep. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice to satisfy the hungriest of guests, but it did get busy at times, though this did not interfere with our dining. The staff we interacted with were pleasant at all time and whilst staff English was a little hard to understand at times it added to our pleasure as we tried out our limited Portuguese. Great roof top pool and bar with panoramic views over the beachfront and into the distance. Yes we would stay at the Windsor Leme hotel if we find ourselves in this part of the world again.
"One Night in Rio"
Stayed for one night after cruising from Southampton On the Queen Victoria. When we arrived the check in was excellent. We had a Double room on the 17th floor with a side view to Copacabana Beach & the Great Redeemer. A lovely swimming pool & roof bar on the 17th Floor. Had dinner under the stars, excellent a great service. Nice breakfast & very friendly staff. Would stay there again & would be delighted to recommend to friends.
"3 Nights in Rio"
The location is hard to beat, just look at the pictures of the vie either from my window or the great 19th floor bar. There is also a very nice pool there too. The exercise room has modern tried mills and very nice. A sauna room is available. We had a two bed room that was adequate in size with a very large closet. I slept well so I can say there were no problems with it. The buffet breakfast was very adequate with many types of food. The main entrees changed each day and there is a made to order omelette/egg station. Staff in the hotel is very attentive but the only negative I had was that their English was waning. As a major Rio tourist hotel it was a bit surprising. The staff in the restaurant was even less. I am the first to admit that it is more my fault because I know no Portugese. But then they are an international hotel. Use this hotel if you want to be near the beach.
