"Very disappointed first night!"
I am a client at Windsor Atlântica. So, I chose Windsor Marapendi thinking I would have the same reception. But I was sent to a room that was not corresponding to a room I have paid on the hotel reservation site: “luxury". We arrived late at night. After a long flight, we asked for a meal in the “the luxe double room” that was supposed to be around 29 square meters, sea view, with a desk, plus a table with an armchair. Then, I was sent to a smaller room, with no armchair and table…So one of us would eat standing up. I called the front desk and they said they would send another chair and leave a message to the front desk staff for them to change us to another room. In the morning, there was no contact from the front desk…then I called them to find out about it…They did not know about it…So, I had to explain everything again…so, they changed me to a new room that was supposed to be in accordance to the one I have chosen and paid in advance. Apart from that, everything went very well.The hotel is brand new and room service was very good. I should say they would improve options during breakfast. I did not see options for veggies. It is in a prime location in Barra da Tijuca, in front of post 7.
"Nice stay in Nov while attending conference"
Great service, helpful friendly staff, nice rooms. Across from beach with access to beach chairs and umbrellas. Nice included breakfast with lots of choice. Dinner at restaurant was also nice. About 20-30 min in low-ave traffic to Rio Centro conf centre, cab ride of 40-50R. Takes much longer to get downtown to sites.
We were staying in Windsor Marapendi Hotel from 24th October to 27th October. Staff on reception were very welcoming and polite. Rooms are modern, spacious and clean. There are a variety of food for breakfast: eggs can be prepared as you wish, waffles, pastries, fruits. Reasonable prices in lobby bar (R$15 for caipirinha!) and for wallet parking (R$ 20 per day). Pedro from wallet parking is the best! :) I did not understand their problem with bathrobes. We had it first day we've arrived but after we had to call everyday on reception so they bing it to us. No slippers at all and no water (you have it only in minibar).
"Excellent Customer Service"
I usually stay in a few Hotel Chains around the world (EXE , Windsor, NH, Crown) but the service that I have received at the Windsor Marapendi was excellent !! Concierges are fluent Portuguese, English , Italian and Spanish speakers !! Barra is an exclusive part of rio, very safe to walk around and to enjoy in their exclusive beaches, although its a little bit far for the more crowded and know places of Copacabana
Stayed here for 9 days. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel has an ATM on the floor below the lobby. Rooms are spacious and clean. I did miss not having an in room coffee maker but restaurant opens early enough so that was not a problem. Breakfast buffet was quite diverse which is also nice. I will definitely stay here again.
