"Very nice resort with plenty of green space. The service is not the best."
We were 4 people traveling together. We booked this hotel because we used it last year and enjoyed the stay. This year our visit was also Ok, but we noticed some changes in the service. We had some moldy smell in the room when we first stepped in, and I think it was because of too much humidity. The layout of the hotel, the outer look of the bungalows is very nice and the gardens are very well maintained. The rooms are considered somehow small. Our tarvel agent had books us Superiour double bedrooms, but they were not as expected. The service is very slow. Their restaurant had good variety buffet for both breakfast and dinner.
The Wish Hotel in Foz do Iguaçu is an excellent option for conventions and seminars. Terrific infrastructure. Extremely agreeable facilities and staff very well trained and polite. One thing that could be better is the food... not at the same level...

The layout in separate chalet/house facilities is a winner. Comfortable, spacious and peaceful setting. The choice of small pools throughout the property is also a plus. Beautiful landscape and scenery.
"Nice resort - Awful service"
We arrived around noon and decided to order lunch at the pool - mistake. There were about 100 people and 3 servers. Even though we sat close to the bar we had to wait 10 minutes to finally get someone's attention to take our order. And then we waited, and waited, and waited. After an hour, a lady came to tell us that the guy carrying our food dropped it and they would make more - quickly. When we finally got it 30 minutes later, it was very disappointing - but we were starving. I told the manager that they clearly had a problem and they sent some staff from the restaurant above to assist, but it was too late. We were so hungry, we ordered more food, which took forever, and I watched in horror as it was delivered to 2 other tables where people opened the lid and then refused it before finally being delivered to us. But that wasn't the worst part! The second night of our stay, we decided to try one of the "special" restaurants. We made reservations at the steak house and arrived on time. We ordered bread and drinks and a picanha steak with two sides. It was a good thing we ordered bread because it took more than an hour for our steak, which was (I am not making this up), also delivered to the wrong table. The people were so hungry - they took our food. Then we asked the waiter what happened and he tried to make excuses. 10 minutes later he brought their food with different side items. The steak was tiny and overcooked and the sides were wrong - we asked for our sides, which were already being finished at the other table. For the price that we paid for this place - the level of service was totally unacceptable.
Excellent facilities and a lovely if isolated setting could not make up for the poor service at mealtimes and the awful food. On our first night no one in the restaurant spoke English so orders were wrong and took ages. We were promised a buffet but had to accept a limited menu choice and even then they could not get it right. Service was slow and trying to sign for the wine at the end of the meal was almost farcical. Pool was lovely and the staff very polite but I would look elsewhere if returning to this area.
