We stayed here for 3 nights during our travels to explore Milan. We found the room quality to be very good and service was friendly and helpful, particularly when advising the best way to navigate the city and also for helping to plan a running route for my wife (which I joined her on hire bikes nearby). The location was close enough to city centre if you are fit and able to walk. Otherwise you might need to consider public transport or taxi. We walked each day and found it an easy and leisurely walk. Nearby parks were a bonus and plenty of options for food in the area. Free breakfast was sufficient without being amazing. The breakfast room was quite small and you had to time your arrival or have a short wait. We did use the spa facilities and found them to be good for what we wanted, especially to relax after our daily walk into the city. All in all, we would recommend considering if you can get a decent price. It was a greta visit to Milan!
Staff very friendly, we arrived after midnight and assisted us in minutes gave us a lovely room with slippers and gowns. Packed us a breakfast pack for the one morning we left for a day trip at 05:00. Gave us 4 x bottles of water when we checked out. Hotel 1 minute away from 2 x metro entrances. Breakfast was excellent !
"1 Night to impress"
When we first arrived, I loved it! The staff were smiley and helpful. The let us check in 3 hours early on a Saturday, took the time to go through where we were in the city and the nearest attractions and I got a rose! One constructive point however that we went down to use the spa and the spa managers initial attitude was so bad that it actually put us off staying. I was going to book in for a massage and she just came across as a bit condescending. A real shame and our worldhotel experience would have been 200% otherwise! Thank you for an overall great stay!
"Average City Hotel"
I paid £290 for a double room with breakfast for two nights. On our arrival I realised our room was a little small and a tad outdated. I checked prices online to see how much a superior room would be and it was working out to be an additional £35 a night. I thought it would be worth it as I booked this trip as a surprise for my husband for our one year wedding anniversary. On approaching reception, I was told they had spare rooms but it would cost me an additional €50 per night. I didn't understand the logic as on several websites it was cheaper and I had already paid £145 per night. I was told by the reservation gentleman that's what I had to pay and that's it. I decided to stick with our room. No one questioned why I wanted to upgrade and whether everything was okay with our room. We returned for the evening and had a note saying happy anniversary with some cookies and biscotti which was a nice surprise. Bathroom had a weird smell after we returned from being out..and again in the morning once we returned from breakfast. I called reception to report this, no one came to our room or followed up. We waited in our room for 15 mins and then decided we couldn't wait any longer and waste our day. Spa was lovely and quiet. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Minus one lady on her mobile phone'! Pt. Venezia station right outside the hotel and Duomo is a 20 min walk. Rooms facing the main road are noisy when police or ambulance pass by (very loud!) Walls are extremely thin in the rooms.. We heard our neighbours whole conversation at 8am. Is it worth the money' Probably not. I was trying to avoid world wide chain hotels, but at least with them you know exactly what you're getting.
"When in Need"
when we arrived in Milan we required an english speaking doctor. The reception staff organised for a doctor to come to our room. Within an hour the english speaking doctor had arrived. Gave the correct diagnosis, advised what medication to take and not to travel. Therefore had extra nights not planned. Hotel accommodated us as we wanted a bath to soothe the skin due to Severe Shingles. Great breakfast buffet with amazing fresh juice, coffee and bread rolls were fantastic. Asked for different pillows and happy to oblige. Renovations were still going on, but didn't notice if there was noise. Would love to stay again when renovations finished and a restaurant available.
