"A one-night stay for shopping"
Positive sides: decent value for money, location is perfect for shopping; lobby area is beautiful; breakfast is good, staff speaks English and some of them are very friendly (some are not). Negative sides: OLD rooms, windows facing back of the building so you are literally facing the wall, the smell inside the room was terrible, special requests prior to booking weren't met. To top that off, staff isn't quite knowledgeable : got recommendations and directions from concierge to a shopping area that was CLOSED on that day due to a holiday, so I ended up wasting my time. We were planning to go to to this hotel with a large group in middle of May, however after the disappointing experience, probably will change our mind...
"Stay at Hotel Cristoforo Colombo, Milan"
I highly recommend this hotel — very comfortable bedroom, great service and lovely breakfast with great choice of fresh food. Great location as very central. Staff called taxis for you so easy to get about. Metro station very near
"A very pleasant hotel"
The hotel is located on a busy street in citycentre surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants . The M1 metro station is 10 meters away but if you don't mind walking, it's 20 mins away from Duomo and the luxury brands district - Via Montenapoleon. The front desk reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. The hotel is tucked away from the main road so my room (after relocation*) was very quiet. *Avoid room #217 as it is the smallest and noisiest one in the building, the toilet seat is only a few inches away from the small shower stall (see attached photo) so if you sit down on it, you'll have to spread your legs which is unacceptable by any standards. I stayed there for the first night and requested to switch to another room which was much better.
Everything is 5 star quality, but the parking and some front desk personnel (not the administrations' fault). Cleanliness is above all others. I have no complaints from the quality of the room and services. I had a great stay. One person in the front desk was rude, but you get people like this everywhere. It was difficult at first to find a parking spot, but after it was arranged I had no more issues. The place's location is great for the shopping area. Maybe a 5 minutes ride from the Basilica, but once you are in the center, you are good. Everything is close by. Train station is next to the hotel as well as bikes for rent if you'd prefer that. Taxi service are everywhere. Transportation is not an issue for sightseeing or shopping. Plus the Hotel has everything you need to have a great time.
"Great hotel in the centre of milano"
We was for one night in your hotel this week. We had a tradicional building with very kindly personal (front desk and service). The room was simple and nice, but unfortunately to the street side. Free minibar included, this was very surprized :) The breakfast was very good. Only 15 minutes too feet for the city (shopping streets and duomo) . We will come back :)
