"Shame on you Wyndham! You are an embarrassment to Downtown San Antonio Hotels."
It is a Saturday afternoon. I have recently moved into an office building across the street. Dropped in to have a quick lunch in the lobby bar. A few patrons but less than 10. Food and beverage service was horrible. 45 minutes for a burger and fries. Bartender/server almost non-existent. Lobby bar windows filthy on outside and inside. Outside landscaping on Soledad street so skimpy, I wonder why you bothered. Curtains on lobby bar Windows not completely fastened at top and hanging loose. Amusing to watch outside restaurant food couriers ride their bikes thru front door into lobby. I think Wyndham owes more to the San Antonio hospitality industry!
Both accommodations and staff service were superior! Abby at the Front Desk remembered me by first and last name after a very brief interaction. The banquets and catering team also went above and beyond to ensure we got the most of our meetings. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
The lobby bar drinks and snacks are top notch. The banquet team also did a fantastic job - Juan and team were on top of things. The location is nice because you are close to Riverwalk, but avoid all the late night noise.
"Not what I expected"
We booked the hotel for two nights. Friday and Saturday, we checked out Sunday morning. As soon as we checked we were asked if we wanted maps or coupons. We said yes. A lady took us to a desk sitting out in the front lobby. She asked us if we wanted to take a "tour of a new Wyndham" that was just built and would pay us for a survey. We said yes. The shuttle picked us up Saturday morning. We were there for almost two hours! It was not a tour, they were trying to get us to buy a time share/ property with Wyndham. After declining many times the sales guy got mad and says ugh, I'm late to the Rangers opening. As far as the room goes... ehhh. The bed was hard, the bathroom could have been cleaner, and the room was hot! We lowered it down all the way. It wouldn't cool much. I called the front desk at night and maybe the girl didn't hear me clearly since she was too busy giggling away. I asked for someone to fix it or even bring us a fan. She said she would call me back. I never received the call. We paid too much money to sleep uncomfortable.
Was not pleased , i was giving one price when i reserved the room and another price when i checked in
