"Relaxed Ambience, good service"
Only downside was reception could have been more friendly on our arrival. Other than that service was good, staff courteous and helpful. Food was good and reasonably priced. Room very comfortable and very clean. Would stay here again
Returned home last night from a wonderful 2night stay at Hotel Indigo. It is perfectly located to walk to all attractions and the shopping areas within 5 minutes with the added benefit of it being slightly out of the main part that you get some peace and quiet at night. Staff very friendly and accommodating and the room spotless. The room was brilliantly decorated with quirky light fittings & furniture with a beautiful feature wall incorporating pictures based on Yorks history. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room are provided, with a proper pint of milk (really makes the difference to the awful sachets) fridge was also stocked with snacks. Kit kats in the room which were replenished daily were a nice touch, again on theme for Yorks chocolate history. Overall we had a great stay, slept well (albeit the bed was slightly hard for me) and in a brilliant location close to all the action with lots of nice restaurants/cafes near. We would return without hesitation.
"Really good, in all aspects"
Quite large for a boutique hotel, but still manages to feel small and personal. Staff are excellent, attentive and can't do enough to please. Rooms comfortable, quiet and well equipped with comfortable beds. Although I usually prefer to eat dinner out of a hotel, this is one hotel restaurant worth breaking the habit, good food, well cooked and delicious.
"It's was alright"
Me and my partner visited York for 2 nights. Parking on site was £12 a day .Concidering it's not a secure car park and there's a sign saying leave at your own risk. Wasn't that impressed only advantage is it was right behind hotel. We were allowed to check in early which was good. Room decorated very nicely. Bathroom also nice. Free toiletries good quality and plenty of tea and coffee available. We were given free fresh milk but the room fridge didn't seem that cold. Milk had been open 1 day and had got bits in it, when having tea the following morning. Walls very thin. We could here guests next door going to the toilet. Found a stain on the dressing gown on the second morning and one of the flannels we had was from Asda. I like Asda but if im paying almost £90 a night for just a room no free parking or breakfast I kinda expect a bit of luxury. One morning we had breakfast which I don't think was good value. £12.95 for 2 poached eggs on toast, cup of tea and a small orange juice. Partner had vegetarian breakfast and coffee.total bill almost £26. Unless you ordered alot I personally don't think it was worth it. All the staff were polite but overall I'm a bit disapointed.
"One of the best hotels I've ever been (and I've been in loads!)"
It's the 3rd time I stayed in this hotel. The decor and the athomsphere is always ever so homey, luxurious and friendly. The rooms are always very clean and the free treats in the fridge are always a bonus. I noticed they change their hot breakfast from buffet to set menu which is still deliscious but they could do with bigger quantities.
