"Staff could be more attentive & polite"
Overall had a nice stay. Staff at reception is a bit clueless about things other than that it's a nice property. I travel to gurgaon frequently and might consider staying again in future. Hopefully they will make it up to me next time.
"Great location, tasty food"
Hotel is very well located - near airport and metro station. Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel has really nice restaurant with delicious food. It also has swimming pool and spa centre. Would reccomend it to everyone.
"Worst hotel - Stay away"
I picked this hotel just for the brand name it carried but it turned out to be the worst decision. We reached this hotel around 11.30 am on a Sunday and guess what there is no staff to help you carry the luggage to the lobby. Then the check in was done and a front desk executive came along with me to give a 'room orientation'. The room was on 5th floor and the moment I entered I realised that this was the smallest room that I have encountered across any brand of hotels in Asia. The layout was so badly designed that chances of you hurting your toe or fingers are high especially with the wardrobe slide door which dangles a lot before getting closed completely. The room was so dirty and it should have been ages before they used vacuum cleaner inside the room (pics attached). The towels in the bathroom were so dirty looking that one would think twice before using it. Since the room is the basic room, there was no stationery kit/bathroom slippers available (which is surprising). They expect the guests to walk on the dust bowl. While checking out I mentioned that the room was dirty and asked whether there is anyone from sales that I can talk to (this was on sat morning around 9.30). To my surprise the front desk said that there is no one around. When I asked for the email ID of the hotel or the sales team, I was rudely told that they would send me a survey link which can be used to highlight the problems ( I am still awaiting the mail). And this is the first time I have noted that front desk executives do not greet the guests while entering the lobby. They were busy chatting among themselves that rarely they notice guests entering the hotel. Also this hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere. There are no eating joints available except for Cafe Coffee Day. The nearest metro station is almost one KM away (Guru Dronacharya) and it the area is so dark that nobody will dare to venture out. Adding to the misery is a wine shop right in the street corner. The only good thing I noticed is the breakfast and they have a good spread of Indian food. May be foreigners might not have options.
"A nice SPG property in Gurgaon"
Until last year, the Westin Gurgaon was the only good SPG property in Gurgaon but when the Pullman Gurgaon changed to a Le Meridien, it was a welcome addition. The hotel is only slightly cheaper than the Westin but the rooms are still very nice. The location next to a Metro station is convenient as is it's location next to a ramp that gies straight to Cyber City. What is my favorite thing about this hotel is the kitchen. The kitchen staff is doing an excellent job and the food offerings in the breakfast buffet are varied, plentiful and flavorful. I have actually started going more to this hotel just for this.
Hotel location is great. It has an excellent ambience as well. The rooms are equally good. There are plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options at the breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet. There is a decent bar alongside the pool. The gym and pool facilities check all the right boxes. Recommended for business travellers.
