It's exactly what you would expect from this style of establishment, we ate there and I think the beef steak was the best piece of beef I have ever eaten. The flavour and texture were fabulous and it had been cooked to perfection! I would definitely dine again if I was in the area.
I had nt wedding breakfast and evening do in abode. The staff are alaays reallly helpful and they will go the extra mile for everyone. The food was amazing. The 602 room is gorgeous, really clean and the bed was soo comfortable.
"Celebration Afternoon Tea"
We've just arrived home after enjoying a fabulous afternoon tea at ABode in Chester. We were there to celebrate my Dad's 89th birthday and the whole experience was great. My mum has mobility problems and uses a wheelchair but this was no issue at all. With the greatest of ease we were in the lift and whisked up to the Champagne Bar/Brasserie where the friendly staff met us and welcomed us all. We enjoyed sandwiches, savouries, fish bites, fabulous sausages, scones, chocolate brownies, macaroons, coffee and tea. My parents thoroughly enjoyed every moment and we highly recommend this as a brilliant way to celebrate. Thank you to all of the staff.
"Overpriced soulless hotel"
Well we stayed for 4 nights with 3 rooms We had poor service during breakfast and dinner we did complain and got our starters knocked off the bill during dinner for the next evening so we decided to eat at the Miller & Carter restaurant (next door) The staff are hopeless in the restaurant ill trained and dis interested in providing an acceptable level of customer service Breakfast was very average and over priced dinner was better but no where near to a standard you expect of a hotel with this ambience and ultimately price! Rooms were dated, shabby decor, with poor mattress's and paint peeling off the shower walls (dirty) The room keys don't work I had to change mine 3 times its like Fort Knox the place! you couldn't get between floors only the floor you were on! Most frustrating Car parking is limited and most of the time there isn't a space! I used the gym but it is so dated and old equipment I couldn't fault the reception staff they were helpful and polite Don't be deceived by the name and its stature from the outside, the inside is no where as good as what you think it is going to be My recommendation book yourself into the Crowne Plaza or if you are looking for weekend away book yourself into the Grosvenor Hotel in the centre of town
I recently stayed here whilst on business. Car parking was a bit of an issue as this is very limited, however I did manage to get a space eventually! My room overlooked the front of the hotel and the outlook was fab.The room itself was of a really good size and had a massive bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and was huge. Breakfast was the best bit with lots and lots of choice from scrambled egg and smoked salmon to English.I chose the Eggs benedict was was delicious, there was lots of quirky things for breakfast and the juice in glass bottles was a really nice touch!
