"Lovely hotel, wonderful staff, great views"
First class hotel with first class staff. We had the pleasure of staying here having made last minute plans to stay due to Hurricane Irma putting pay to a holiday in Cuba. We arrived around 8 am in the morning after a long flight, weary and expecting to wait until at least midday to get our rooms. We were greeted with cool drinks and cool flannels and a sit down. Our passports were taken and formalities were quick and efficient. We were treated to a complimentary breakfast and told our rooms would be ready around 10.00. True to their word, the rooms were ready at 10.00 am. The rooms were large with lovely sea view of the islands and the biggest bed I have ever seen. The hotel was one of the smallest we have stayed in, but the layout was absolutely perfect and quite unique with many features including beautiful koi carp and stepping stones. Very picturesque and I think I am correct in saying that all rooms have a sea view due to the design of the hotel. Very impressive. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and they soon knew our names and requirements by heart! Patrice, the manager, introduced himself in a very friendly but professional manner and proved to be quite a wit. My brother in law said he was a bit upset as he could not get any chocolate ice cream – that evening there was chocolate ice cream! Frank, our maitre d’ was always on hand for all our needs. Mam, Peach, Nicky, Eve, Mas, Kae, Wi, Pong, Louis, Pigeon and Wanna (who went out of her way to make special ginger drink for my husband) do the hotel proud. Nothing was too much trouble. Frank organised a very special table for the 4 of us on my sister’s wedding anniversary which made it memorable. Every morning once happy hour had started along would come dear Nicky to take our orders whether we were lounging round the pool or on the beach. It never surprises me how good everyone’s English is. We even had entertainment in the evenings with traditional Thai dancers and a splendid fire show on the beach. Also an easy to listen to singing duo who were not averse to guests joining in with the singing. The pools, of which there were around 5, were very original, something for everyone. Shallow ones with spa bubbles for the non swimmers and elephants around the biggest (not real ones of of course). Very picturesque and gardens kept to perfection. The spa was excellent value and we visited twice for massage. The staff are the jewel in this hotel’s crown. I would not hesitate to recommend .Amari Vogue. Alas I cannot post any photos, but I am sure my sister will post some, so look out for Mrs Brissenden's review.
"Great staff and resort!"
Very friendly upon welcoming! Great food with excellent gluten free options. A little remote but perfect for people looking to relax and disconnect. Great experience in Krabi with beach front resort and restaurants!
