"Anantara does it again (3rd time)"
My Wife and I visited Anantara Dhigu and Anantara Veli in the past. Both resorts exceeded our expectations and so has Anantara Kihavah. On arrival we were greeted by the General Manager (Dylan) and our Villa host (Amy). Although we arrived at the beginning of the monsoon season and experienced rain and cloudy weather throughout most of our 7 day stay, we were treated to other activities which made our stay pleasurable. Staff always treated us in a pleasant manner, always remembered our names, communicated clearly and remembered preferences (halal food, no alcohol) Restaurants We tried every restaurant available at the resort and each one is exceptional. If you can afford it, I would recommend the SEA underwater restaurant for the experience. Arriving on a clear day for lunch provides a clearer view undersea, whereas dinner provides a better ambience. The restaurants are not just spaces for dining, but instead cool places offering a different atmosphere and interesting characteristics. Halal food is also made available. It is worth noting however that it was not made clear at the time of booking that half board is only available for the SALT & Manzaru restaurants. $50 credit is available for Plates buffet and FIRE, but credit is not available for SEA (correct as of May 2017). Villas The Pool Villa is breath-taking, and it is exactly how it is depicted in the gallery photos. The outdoor area includes a pool which is large enough for swimming and has dual daybeds, together with a swinging daybed on an outdoor decking area by the entrance steps, topped off by a large entrance into the bedroom. The bathroom is a large courtyard with a bathtub in the middle and a waterfall display behind it. Large trees frame the access points with privacy in mind, from wall decking to the neat alignment of the plants that melt away into more natural spaces the closer you head to the exit, which conveniently leads directly onto the beach Island The island feels much larger than Anantara Dhigu and Anantara Veli, it is well designed, easy to navigate around and captures a perfect balance of function and beauty. Paths have trees planted with sign posts at regular intervals; there are structural elements such as a platforms, decks and plinths; and neat architectural features like floor lights to illuminate the paths at night. Just exploring the island is a pleasure in itself because it exudes the calm and tranquillity you would expect from an island but still remain functional. There is a small retail and gift shop, an island mosque, a small fitness centre, a recreation centre for kids, a dive centre, a business area as well as pleasantly designed seating areas scattered across the island (look out for the swings on the beach near the SPA) Special Staff Mentions Benji (General Manager at SEA) – incredibly affable and welcoming. Benji was always attentive, and has a gift of making every experience feel personalised and genuine, from rearranging our dining and shisha downstairs up to the rooftop for star gazing with a local astronomer, to customizing a music playlist for us for our lunch visits during quiet periods. He even found my Wife’s missing bracelet when we returned to the UK, demonstrating how attentive he really is Jenny (restaurant host) consistently exuded a warm and welcoming personality. We appreciated her gift of remembering names, seating and food preferences as well as small details we may have mentioned in passing during conversation on previous days. We appreciate it is difficult to be genuine consistently for guests all the time, but Jenny is a natural, and made us feel special every time we returned for lunch or dinner each night Amy (Villa Host) was an impressive host. She was always productive, such facilitating our activities for the day, making dinner reservations, to collecting and transporting us in her buggy to and from our destinations to arranging a surprise birthday celebration. We found her to be highly adaptable to changing demands and was always available to speak to directly via a supplied mobile phone Fathimath Filza (Singer) – a live vocalist available at the SKY bar on Fridays. She has beautiful voice and jovial personality. She made our dinner so much more special and ambient A final thank you to Dylan (General Manager). He is clearly running a tight ship here. He is maintaining an atmosphere that allows a wide diversity of guests across continents to feel at home, from couples and groups of friends, to large families. A heartfelt thank you to Kihavah for spending so much of your time perfecting our stay. We cannot wait to return for a fourth time (Naladhu next!)

"Amazing family trip "
We just spent 7 nights at this resort with three kids age 13,11 and 8. It surpassed all our expectations. Our butler Zaheen was so attentive, he organised everything from dinner reservations to sports activities, bikes, buggy pick ups and always just a call away. The kids club had the bast activities I'd ever seen, and we have been to a lot of kids clubs. They even took our kids snorkelling and out on the banana boat! Not to mention the crafts, pizza and sushi making! Big thanks to amaal and thoi. Dimu played badminton with us every afternoon. That was such an unexpected hit! We were obsessed by the end of the week. Breakfast was a feast. Thanks Gerry for the strong latte's. Kacon for the crepes which he whipped up without us needing to order every morning. The kids loved him. All the food was delicious and all the staff were so friendly. Smoothies by the pool every day, different flavours. We did the introduction to scuba. Flora and Marsha were amazing. Kazi took us out with the sea bob more than once. Great with children. We were so sad to leave! It was the big and the small things there. I could write so much more. The villa was beautiful and kept immaculately clean twice daily. It's a great resort. I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling by with kids.
This resort is simply amazing! We had a great time at the beach villa. It was an Easter getaway for a couple of days and we truly had the time of our life! The service is great and beach villa simply luxurious. Everything was clean and always available. You'd have the beach( mostly all to yourself) within 40 literal steps from the villa! There were some small island animals that were of particular interests as well, all around the villa, like hermit crabs for example. The staff were very friendly, with smiles everywhere we went. Of particular impression were Dylan, Sobe and Ismail. We saw them a couple of times and they were always sincere and interested in our day! The breakfast menu was impressive and service staff always ready. There also happened to be an Easter program during the few days we were there. The Easter dinner was fantastic with very entertaining performances as well as great food and music. We also happened to see activities catered to kids at the kids club like kids shows. Great family fun all in all! Do remember to check out the bar/restaurant out at sea in the evening after its dark. It's a most beautiful place to see stars, and I mean STARS!! there is an astrologist that will explain the various stars and constellations to you at a small fee. It's a special Experience! The depth of the night is amazing at this particular location! Wonderful visit and highly recommended! Long overdue review! :) Love and peace, Danny K
