of TripAdvisor Travelers recommend this hotel
Having stayed at the hotel for 3 nights i have nothing but praise for the staff.Ren Hear. The general manager Pov Vuthy. They made my short stay a memorable occasion.and will reccomend the hotel highly.I will be staying at the hotel again when i visit Siem Reap again. When you first drive up a small lane that looks like the back of begone you wonder what the hell. But once you reach the hotel you are amazed at what lies in store for you.
"Highly recommended "
Absolutely amazing time! Room was big with a great balcony and all the staff were very professional and polite. As a solo traveler I felt very safe and welcome . Big shout out to Mr.Hear Ren for giving me all the amazing tips and showing me the real Cambodia and his 'sister' Sinangkoeun. Thank you Angkor Heritage Boutique Hotel for looking after me.
"A week's stay at a reasonable hotel"
The family of four had put up at this Angkor Heritage Boutique Hotel which is a small one, with 30 rooms over 3 floors in one building, all with balcony facing a small salt-water swimming pool and enough greenery. We were there during this low season period on the dry spell at Siem Reap at the beginning of May 2017. We had two big rooms each with two double beds. I am not sure of what people expect of hotel rooms but having over the last forty years of travelling and having the opportunity to stay in the whole range of hotel rooms, they all are pretty much the same layout and so is this hotel as well. The rooms are spacious and clean no doubt. Our rooms were done up every day. The water pressure at the faucets is one of my indication for a great hotel and for this one it was rather good. The other criteria that I look out for is the good running air conditioner for the duration we are in the rooms. IN SEA we need these two. These two items are important for us because we visited during the dry season and lo and behold, its like going into an oasis after a day out in the sun at those amazing Angkor temples sites. Breakfast was ala carte from a choice of 4 mains (American, English, Asean & Cambosian) but in addition there was plenty with bread and pastries and fruits and drinks. For a small hotel I would rate this as well served given the cooks are not your average top-notch trained expert. I always maintained that if you want to eat well then go to places that serve food of your choice but be prepared to pay for it. The distance to the "center" of town that is Pub Street area where there are plenty of food choices, this hotel is but a 2USD motorized tuk-tuk trip away (10-15 mins). We only go there for dinner. Another plus point is that the hotel looks a safe place and is 200 meters in; from the highway to Phnom Penh (Hwy #6), the new Angkor Park Ticketing Building and in the direction north to most of the Angkor sites. Having said all that, for the rates I had to fork out for a whole week's stay for 4 of us, I am definitely not complaining. The hotel also pick up from the airport and transfer to airport upon given notice.
"Lovely Boutique hotel and very affordable."
Very cosy and large rooms with a sit out, nice swimming pool and staff who are terrific in their service. Special mention about Ms. Sinang at reception, Mr. Ren Hear at Reception and the Manager Mr. Pov Vuthy..Very helpful at all times. Away from the main road sp maybe a little difficult to locate. Ambiance is exceptional at the entrance and in the rooms. Thick Foliage covers the rooms. Breakfast is very good. Since the management is new after taking over there have been several renovations. The main improvement required is the Air Conditioning which is very poor. The AC is too small for the room size.
"Oh dear ...... not good @ all "
We stayed here thankfully for just 3 nights but it was more than enough! Upon arrival we were told very little about the hotel but loads about the trips they offer ! The question so what do you want to do ' kept being repeated !!!! Despite saying we will let you know several times the guy on the front desk wouldn't let up !! We had to say look we want to go to our room is it ready ' We were taken to the room A/C didn't work - taken to another room no hot water & a blocked sink & lots of bugs in the room arghh .... 2 hours later we just said sort it asap and out we went. The hotel tell you not to use outside tuk tuks charge is $8 return from the hotel which they organise. They take a commission it's $6 return outside without issues. The hotel is in desperate need of experience in hotel management and customer service. The rooms are large but very basic A/C doesn't do the job not large enough. No iron or ironing board very cheap poor toiletries, very thin worn towels. The beds are rock hard no comfort. As previously mentioned chipped plates & cups. Breakfast generally cold although the pastries are lush. Strangely on Monday tablecloths appeared on the tables and maybe a manager ' All very odd over the last 3 days there wasn't even evidence of cleaning let alone a tablecloth! They only put fans or lights on above where you are sitting''' Corridor lights you need to put them on yourself. Everything is done like they are on a tight budget !!!! It's supposed to be a four star hotel ''' Would I stay again ' OMG not a chance couldn't wait to leave. Just in case maybe you think it's a culture shock ' No way we had x2 nights elsewhere in Cambodia which is a million times better, we are travelling around. There is no way this hotel is 4 stars I'd put it at 2. The response from management saying things are fixed is far from correct we travelled in May! The issues are going to take a lot of time and a lot of training .The staff are ok but lack guidance as I said earlier experience is needed!
