Set amongst 1,000 hectares of landscaped parks and meandering lagoons along the pristine, eight-kilometre Bang Tao Beach, Angsana Villas Resort is the newest addition of luxury accommodations to grace Laguna Phuket, Asia's finest resort destination.
The opulent Villas feature traditional Thai style accentuated by modern aesthetics, all beautifully designed with rich natural fibers, wood furnishings, and jewel-toned accents. These private, residential-style accommodations are equipped with kitchens, living and dining areas; and pool villas include revitalizing lap pools and Thai sala pavilions. Meanwhile, the contemporary, single and dual-level suites house 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms, according to the guests' needs.
The Panache restaurant showcases an interactive kitchen where chefs prepare dishes to a guest's particular preference. The Asian and International Cuisine emphasizes casual creative and healthy preparations, and can be savoured indoors, or alfresco in the resort's unique setting.
Angsana Villas Resort also features the heavenly Angsana Laguna Spa where guests can relax and pamper their body and mind with a range of Thai massages, Asian inspired therapies and special beauty treatments. Other facilities include 2 outdoor pools with a refreshing pool bar, an international standard golf course, a fitness centre, yoga and pilates classes and a kids club to keep younger guests entertained.
Angsana Villas Resort is located in the heart of Laguna Phuket, on the northwest end of Phuket Island, about ten-minute drive from a stretch of beach on pristine Bang Tao Bay and 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport.
All staff gave us exceptional unexpectly excellent service. They always very observant of guests' needs and offer before we even asked.Comment of C. BING FUN TOMMY, Hong Kong the 2016-12-10
The two bedroom villa was huge and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and we had a very good experience here. The resort is a little bit further away from shops and restaurants however we knew this and we very much enjoyed seeing the Laguna region.Comment of R. Kerrie, Australia the 2014-03-16
Big villas, private pool very clean, good room management services, birthday cake & surprise offered. Very good impression.Comment of T. Chun Yan Phoebe, Hong Kong the 2014-02-07
"Not my cup of tea......."
I so desperately want to try to say something positive about this place but I'm finding it really hard. The management and staff did everything they could to try to make my stay a better one but from the moment I arrived I was disappointed. Maybe I've been spoilt by staying in some top hotels around the world but for the price I paid for this and the description on line it did not match what I received. We were shown to a villa which was fairly run down and a bit dirty. I complained and was shown to a new villa the next day. It was better but still not of the calibre I was expecting. The decor was dated, doors and cupboards rickety and squeaky, bathrooms need work, TV not tuned in properly, air conditioning noisy and mattresses hard like rocks. Just nothing special at all. The water pressure in both bathrooms was a bit dodgy and water ran hot and cold. Water also had an orange tinge to it....very off putting in the bath. Amenities in the bathrooms were pretty awful with refillable containers of shower gel and so on. No idea how long the stuff had been in there so didn't use it. Unfortunately the garden and pool area were in the shade all day long so my vision of us chilling by the pool and relaxing was not going to happen. The main pool attached to the villa resort is tiny and full of kids. The only option was to go to the Angsana Hotel and sit by the pool or beach there. We did this almost every day but it was a trek and no chance of popping back to the room if something was forgotten. I had opted for a three bed villa so my three older teenagers would have some space away from each other after sharing a room in various other hotels the week before. I should have stuck with the hotel route! In hindsight I should have stayed in the Surin/Kamala beach area as it was much nicer and had great beaches and restaurants. Laguna feels very isolated and we ended up getting taxis in and out almost every day/night. The management insisted we take them up on the offer of a complimentary Xmas Eve Buffet in their Panache restaurant to make up for the problems we'd encountered. I wish we had never gone. I'd rather have paid for dinner or starved. The food was practically inedible and the place had no atmosphere at all. In fact this is where they served breakfast and I stopped going after day 3 as it was not good at all. They need to up their game if this is to be marketed as a luxury resort. In general I have to say that this may be an ok resort if you have young kids and happy to stick around the resort and not go anywhere. It felt like a 4* and was definitely not a five star luxury resort. It's a bit tired and run down. As said the only positive was the friendly staff who tried hard but sometimes even when you try you can't hide the true fact that this is an average resort and unfortunately I will not be returning.
"Great for family trip"
We booked 2 villas and they were overbooked, so we needed to move both villas in the middle of the stay. The move was smooth. When my young grandson had an accident, they sent the transport quickly when we called and took him to the clinic in Canal Village where the doctor treated him promptly and bandaged him.
I'm so glad we booked this villa, we're a group of 3 so we decided to book the villas and got ourselves a good bargain! We enjoyed the facilities of the villa, the private pool, the kitchen, washing machine. Both bedrooms were spacious. We rented a car so it was quite easy to get around, although the resort does offer shuttles. it's a 5 minute drive to the Angsana Laguna resort; a sister hotel, use of all facilities is included, the beach being one of them.. It's a 30- 40 minute drive from the villas to most of the attractions on the island.
"Big room, bit far away"
Main plus is the big size of rooms. Main negative is rather far from other Laguna reports and beach. Shuttles are not so frequent. Suggest own transport for more convenience. Restaurant food is average.
It was my first time to Phuket. Every one of my friends stayed in a villa before so i wanted to try it as well. My experience was pretty good. Staffs were super nice, especially one of the managers - Sena. He's so friendly and he knows how to communicate with customers. I'd recommend this place for ppl.
