"It is not a Mercure. Very decadent!"
The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Very close to the beach and quite central. As Accor left the operation, the people running the hotel are far away from professionals. Rooms are noisy and no respect is shown to clients. Noise from employees talking loud in the halls and windows that do not block the sound from the busy street are just a sample of what you should expect.
"Great short stay for sleeping tourists"
This hotel is not easy to find. Make sure your taxi driver knows your destination well before heading out. The cost of the taxi from the airport should be $150 shekels flat fee. Do not ask for the meter rate since it will usually cost more. Only use the taxis from the taxi stand. I stayed one night. The bed was comfortable and neighborhood quiet. This hotel is only 3 blocks from the ocean. There are a few restaurants nearby but make your choices early. Remember most restaurants and businesses are closed on Friday after 2 pm until Saturday late. The hotel has stairs to up the entrance to the lobby. Check in was a breeze. The elevator was very small but safe. They have a coffee station with water and other drinks in the lobby area. You can hangout there and use the free WiFi. The drinks in the fridge are at cost not free. The bathroom is useable but the shower was small. No bending over to pickup the soap... my companion had a room with a bathtub and did not have this same problem. You might want to ask about getting a room with a larger shower if possible.
"First Taste of Israel"
There was a magical haze on the horizon as my taxi glided from Ben Gurion Airport to Tel Aviv. My good experience continued as I was led to a seat at a desk; much more inviting than the chest-high counter that usually divides the receptionist and customer. At every point that I encountered a member of staff - they were engaging and interested in my response. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends.
"Centrally situated but pretty average place to stay. Re-branded the day we left."
The hotel was centrally situated. It was within easy walking distance to the sea and a bus stop close to the hotel. The room on the 8th floor was pretty average. We had a sea facing room and while we could open the window, the noise from the busy main street below meant we had to sleep with no air in the room. The breakfast was definitely very ordinary with a small selection served by two unfriendly, unhelpful waitresses. We won't be returning any time soon...
"Nice and clean Hotel!!"
The Hotel is good and located on Ben Yehuda street. the renovation was going on at the time I visited this place. The location is quite nice and very close to the Beach area. It just takes 4 min walk from hotel to the beachfront. They have 24 hours tea/coffee available in the lobby, which is quite nice.
