"OK but would stay somewhere else next time"
This hotel is adequate and clean but nothing to write home about. The location was just five minutes from the Plaka and the Acropolis museum. We has two rooms. Both were a little small and drab but clean. Breakfast is not great and while the staff were friendly the breakfast itself was poor. As a hotel it does not have great facilities and I've never been in a hotel before with so few working electrical sockets!
"Adequate Tour Group Hotel"
We were off to a cruise, so this was the hotel booked by the tour. I really can't say too many things about it except that it was adequate and absolutely charmless. The location is okay, but not great. Not far to the Plaka district (can walk) and transportation, but not super convenient. View from the top level bar/restaurant was ok, if you want to eat/drink there. Dreary and a little run-down looking street, especially at night, but safe. The staff is hit or miss, mostly miss. This includes the front desk and breakfast crew. The breakfast was, in a word, a disaster of their own making, including the food, which was also not very good in taste or abundance. The staff was totally non-helpful and lacking in any training or common sense. The rooms are ok by US standards. Basically clean and more or less up to date in decor and amenities. Small balcony but no view, overlooked some graffiti buidings. Absolutely ok for tour groups, but wouldn't recommend it for solo travelers, unless you have to stay somewhere for a night before or after a cruise.
The location is great ! A 5 minute walk to the Plaka and within 10 minutes from the acropolis. Getting here from the airport is very easy. Simply take the X95 bus from the airport for a few Euro to Syntagma square and then either walk 800 meters downhill to the hotel or take a taxi for €5. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean. The staff are super friendly. The breakfast is fantastic , from around 6h30 to 10h30am. It also has a gym and a sauna. There is a restaurant on the top level with great views (a little distant) of the acropolis and live music (pianist). The only suggestion I would make is that management relook at the pricing of drinks to attract their clients to stay and dine in the hotel. I read a review prior to arriving commenting on the reasonable drinks prices, you must be kidding ! The cocktails were double the price of those in the Plaka , literally exactly double. This put us off and we ended up dining out every evening. Other than that , a great upmarket hotel. I would stay here again. Hopefully by then we'd have a reason to dine in the restaurant.
"Quaint hotel in a great location"
This is a real gem of a hotel - small in size and large in service & comfort. Breakfast buffet was very nice & fresh with all the amenities. Staff was very friendly, helpful & accommodating. The location was fantastic as it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but only a few short blocks from the Acropolis & Museum and Plaka.
This small boutique style hotel was very clean and conveniently located. The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff at the hotel was friendly. The rooftop bar gave you views if the Acropolis at night
