Nice located butique hotel in Athens. Good breakfast and very polite staff. Rooms are clean. No shower tray in our bathroom, but in general rooms are very nice equipped. Hotel is 5min next to acropol area with many restaurants and attractions nearby. One minus - noise from nearby street. With opened windows there were unconfortable in room.
This hotel has a great location that is walking distance to the Temple of Zeus and to other tourist sites. The free buffet breakfast is very good and the decor of the hotel is contemporary and attractive. Some of the rooms have balconies overlooking the street, which is very busy during the day.
"A short walk from the Acropolis"
The hotel was clean and convenient, close the the Acropolis and Plaka. Staff were helpful, the room a reasonable size for the our length of stay, the bed was comfortable and air conditioning good. We ate in the rooftop restaurant on the first night and had grilled bream with black rice, the fish was well cooked and tasty and the recommended rose went well and tasted good.
The hotel is in a good location for exploring Athens, a short walk to the Acropolis and handy for restaurants. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good indeed, we had a drink in the roof garden but did not eat there - the view of the Parthenon at night was a bonus. On leaving our flight was later that day so we left our luggage in the downstairs lockers. Cost was €2 per locker and as our cases were large we needed 2. The bonus was after a long day in Athens we returned for our cases and as there were shower facilities on that level, plus towels and toiletries we both had a shower. We tidied our cases and felt fresh and ready for our onward journey. So definitely worth the cost of the left luggage lockers in my opinion.
"Centrally located and easy walking to Acropolis and other sights"
The Athenian Callirhoe is located on the main street thru Athens. Our room 506 had a view of the trees that lined the street and was on the opposite side of the Acropolis so we were not able to view. Roof top restaurant and bar had a very nice view of the Acropolis. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to ATM and banks and then to Hadrian Gate, Parthenon-Acropolis, Tomb of the Unknown soldier and The Plaka for shopping. The negative of the room , they inserted a frosted window between bathroom and bedroom which was annoying for anyone that is a light sleeper. also the street noise can get loud when they motorcycles are going by. We had dinner and drinks in the Roof Restaurant & Bar. Ouzo Martini- awesome! Great Staff and service! I found the front desk helpful during the mornings, the night shift staff were nice, but found if difficult to communicate with them.
