"Great find for an affordable room!"
The first thing that I really liked from the start, was the fact that I could check-in myself on the self-service computer. No need to interact with staff, though there is always at standby just in case. The hotel is located about 8-10 stops from the centre of town, but the tram (#2) is literally outside. You can even purchase 24hr, 48hr, or 72hr day passes in the same vending machine that sells snacks in the lobby. I never had to wait more than 5 mins for a tram. The room was bigger than expected, very clean and modern. Make sure you include the breakfast buffet as there is no real cafe's around the hotel.
The room is spacious and the hotel itself is modern. There is a computer and printer on the lobby for free which is very helpful for travellers like us. Our credit didn't work on the self service cause we don't have a pin so the staff helped us by doing it manually. He was kind and funny. It is not in the city center but there is a tram just outside the hotel. There is a free refill of nespresso coffee if you want. Over all I definitely would like to book in this hotel again when I go back to Amsterdam!
We spent three nights in mid May and thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness and airiness of the hotel room, the cleanliness and the overall comfort. The room is bigger than normal for Europe. King bed as well which was very comfortable. Good free wifi service. There is a supermarket two blocks away, which was helpful for buying a few snacks and supplies. The neighborhood is quiet, and we didn’t mind the 20 minute tram ride to get to the city centre. The trams (#2 tram) came frequently (although stopped around 11pm) and were a pleasant way to see the neighborhoods. Highly recommended if you don't need to be right in the city centre! If arriving by train from the airport, it might be easier to go the the Central station and then take tram #2 from there: the hotel suggested going to Lelylaan train station, then taking a metro one stop, then a tram one stop (although the last part is easily walked in two or three minutes).
Lovely clean modern hotel situated in a quiet area of Amsterdam. Very useful tram outside hotel which takes you right in the heart of Amsterdam, takes around 20mins. You can purchase the tram tickets in the hotel reception area. Breakfast cost €12.50 and was relatively good, plenty of choice. No alcohol sold in the hotel which wasn't a problem to us. Realy enjoyed staying 2 nights in this hotel and i would recommend this to others.
Dont leave your personal staff in the room you can not find it back!! I bought new shoes and 2 days later my shoe box with the receipt and gurantee certificate trown into trash. Dont trust the name of Best western it is not reliable
