"London with Teens"
Our experience was very pleasant. The a/c worked great. Wonderful and powerful hot water shower or soak at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Rooms were clean, beds comfy, location perfect. Use the Glouster Road tube for easy access. Good internet! Would stay here again.
"3 rooms in 3 nights. AC does not work in 2 out of 3."
I booked 2 rooms. One of them was changed because they gave me a smaller room on the first night although I had book 2 similar rooms. Out of 3 rooms, A/C failed in 2 of them. Maintenance guy said we will call it in for repair but it takes 2 days. Nobody offered me another room or comp, rebate. Nothing. And it's bloody warm in London. One of the rooms was so small, so tiny I could not open my luggage and go around the bed. In this room the caulking in the bath room had black mold. Water pressure was very low in all 3 rooms on 2 different floors. on 3rd night, A/C failed. No similar room available. Had to open the windows. Swarm of mosquitos entered the room. Could not sleep with noise of the street. Common Best Western, you can do better, Inspect your hotels from time to time. If A/C fails in 2/3 rooms, somebody in maintenance is not doing a good job. If black mold on caulking does not happen overnight. Nobody in your cleaning staff saw it in months' And the elevator failed at least once during the first 3 days. So Best Western Cromwell no more.
"Very good option."
I stayed at this hotel, at least once a year (business purposes) and have to admit that I indeed like it. The location is great, nearby the Gloucester Road subway station and a good selection of restaurants, supermarkets, etc. The staff are quite friendly and the rooms are very clean. The size of the room does vary a lot from one stay to another and the only big turn off for me is the breakfast; I guess I have higher standards when it comes to food because I'm Spanish, but it really is not matching the hotel's level at all. All in all, a great option for your next visit to London.
We booked our room on Best Westerns web site as we heard you got better rooms than when you used a third party site...Our room was said to be a handicap room(which we didn't need) It had double door which would make it really difficult for a handicapped person. The bed was pushed up against the wall which meant someone had to crawl over the other person to get in and out of bed. The bathroom was set up for a handicapped person so no shelf to put any toiletry's on either in the shower or in the bathroom...I would not stay in this hotel again or recommend it was not a great value for the money..
"Good location "
I stayed here on recent business trip for four nights. Initially I didn't like my initial room as the main external door had a porch type area where the wardrobe and then bathroom door was and then another external door to the main bedroom area. The hotel were good and moved me to another room which was much better. The bed was comfortable and the room was quite small but most London rooms are. The gym was basic and had one running machine but the tv wasn't connected to this. I didn't use the dining facilities so cannot comment on those. It is in a good location for Gloucester Road tube station and a number of eating places around there. It is also a small walk to Earl's Court which has more eating places. I got on a cheap price less than £100 per night but not sure I would pay anymore than that.
