"Great hotel and great location"
Reception staff are really friendly and very helpful. The bedroom we had was rather small but it had everything we needed and we were only in the room to sleep at night. The beds were comfy too. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice too. Only negative point was the staff at breakfast were very grumpy and rude at times. They should take a leaf out of receptions book!! The hotel is located right on the edge of the main centre and literally 2 minutes from loads of restaurants and places to drink.
"Good location close to all amenities"
Good friendly hotel staff very good English speaking.Great breakfast buffet, plenty to choose from.Rooms a little on the dark side typical baltic style maybe. Air Conditioning didn´t work very well was very warm in the room.Staff were very helpful to recommend restaurants, boat trips taxies etc.
Great looking and stylish hotel in a very good location. Breakfast was as expected. Plenty of interesting restaurants can be found near by (if you don't go into Vaci utca tourist street). Hotel room was small but had a beautiful wall paper.
"Really lovely hotel"
The hotel was very stylish and clean. Conveniently located around the corner of a main street, within walking distance or bars and shops, cafes and restaurants. There is also an Aldi supermarket around the corner and good tram links. Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming and helped us with any enquiries. They spoken English too which was great. Great hotel and highly recommend!
"An amazing Easter getaway - Our Favourite City so far!"
My boyfriend and I flew to Budapest on Thursday 13th April and stayed at the Boutique Hotel Budapest for 5 nights. We booked the trip through Expedia and got a great deal considering that it was Easter. To start, the location of this hotel for us was absolutely perfect. When we visit a city we want to see it all. It is close to a Metro Station Fovam Ter, tram lines and great if you want to visit the Great Market Hall. The hotel was good, we only wanted a nice place to sleep and have breakfast so it suited us perfectly. From the airport using the 200E bus to the metro station it took us around 45 minutes. We purchased a Budapest card which you pay a fixed fee for and then can use for 120 hours on any of the public transport around the city, i.e buses, trams, metro, boats etc. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting! You can buy them for 24h, 36h, 72h etc depending on how long you are staying. We hate getting taxis so for us Public Transport is the only way to get around on holiday. It is currently undergoing renovation at the moment so the Reception desk is situated in a Conservatory style room. The people were really friendly and helpful when we wanted to keep our luggage in the hotel whilst we explored on the last day before flying home. Breakfast was from 6:30 until 10:30am and the hotel had a few choices: cereals, hot food, cold meats, breads + pastries along with Tea, Coffee and Juice. I would recommend getting there early if you want to have the hot food as one day we went down at around 9:45am and lots of it was gone. We didn't have it on a couple of the days when we slept in later but the city has so much lovely food choices we went out instead. There is a really nice French style bakery and café called "Amber's" which is located on the Corner of Vaci Utca (this is the road directly next to the hotel). This road also hosts an abundance of restaurants, pubs and cafes which we used a lot! I particularly liked the "Old Street Café" where we had dinner and a Soproni! There is a lovely Thai Restaurant literally outside the doorstep of the hotel which we would highly recommend. The food was gorgeous and the waiters were so friendly. I would recommend that you book a table though as it is very popular! In terms of check in and check out it was very simple. There is a safe which is free of charge in the room and also a very nice bathroom with a wet room and the necessities. The room was a good size with a double bed and television. The bed was comfortable and there is also a mini-bar should you want one. I have to mention that if in Budapest and wanting a bit of an adrenaline rush, you should definitely visit "Celeritas Shooting Club". My boyfriend persuaded me to have a go so we booked before we went. It was probably one of the best things we did whilst in Hungary. The instructors make you feel so safe and they are really thorough with giving help on how to shoot properly and safely. There is the option to shoot whichever guns you want but you have to request them and pay extra on the website as you add them to the package that you order. I was really skeptical about doing it as I have never done anything like it before, but I will definitely go again! It is a little bit of a way out of the city centre but we love to see it all and venture out so used public transport to get there. I would recommend planning it before you go as the buses are a little tricky to figure out where you are at which stop. We did have to use the internet at one point as we got a little lost, but once there, it was easy to get back. Zona Budapest is a Michelin star restaurant just over the other side of the Chain Bridge in Buda. It was the most delicious meal we both have ever had. For such a reasonable price, we couldn't stop talking about how lovely of an evening we had. If you want to try Beef Goulash, try it there and you will not be disappointed! We both had a starter, main, dessert and ordered a bottle of wine and it came to around £70. You would never get anything as nice as that in the UK for such a good price. Some more things I can recommend is Szimpla Kert - a really cool bar to visit, we saw a live band and it was such a good atmosphere! The Thermal baths - we went to Szchenyai Baths near Heroes Square and spent hours in there, saunas, outside areas, steam rooms etc. I really cannot fault anything about the city other than that I wanted to stay longer. All in all, it was a fantastic time and I will be recommending it to everyone I see that wants a trip away.
