"Comfortable staying for business "
The room is well fit for business travels. Nice size, digital air conditioning, good sized desk, free Wi-Fi and plenty of wall sockets. Bed is comfortable, shower could be slightly better with more water pressure but that's just a detail. The idea of a minibar market inside the hotel is awesome, bringing the idea of fresher products. Breakfast could have more options, as other hotels with the same quality standards.
"Third time is not the charm!! Funcionários intransigentes!"
We have stayed in this hotel a couple times. This time we came with family and booked 3 rooms. When my family was checking in to one of the rooms with their 2 kids around midnight ( we had a late dinner) the front desk staff stated that without the 2 children's ID's or birth certificates they would not be able to check in. Despite requests to submit a scanned copy the next morning, the staff kept saying absolutely not and was very rude about it. Luckily they found a copy on their cell phone and were able to be checked in. This hotel would leave A FAMILY WITH 2 CHILDREN ON THE STREET OVERNIGHT!!! Also, our room had plumbing issues in the shower and it would fill up ! They supposedly fixed it but it continued with the problem.
"Good room, bad room service"
Room is clean and OK. Staff was very friendly, nothing to complain about it. However room service is terrible. Or better yet, there isn´t. I ask for dinner and receive my meal cold, in a brown bag with plastic dish and services. Call McDonalds, much better.
"Best beds in town,"
Best beds in town. Small but clean, modern room, Powerfull shower; good silent ac. Extremely helpful and english speaking staff; the quality is great and they could arrange best help in case of disease or other problems without hesitation and extrapay. Pool with regularily controlled quality of water. Great "nordestino" breakfast. Quick wifi. Beach nearby. Good parking.
"Deteriorated Hotel "
I am in room 814 and sadly will be here untill next week. This is not the hotel listed in the pictures from Trip Advisor. If it was, not anymore. It is dirty, poorly maintained and it lacks from maintenance utill this day. Yesterday housekeeping forgot to clean my room and arrange the beds. Also I was left without shampoo, not to mention that the box had the soap and shampoo holder broken. How can a couple reside in a room for 3 days with just one shampoo' One of the elevators had the floor number broken... both of them had the numbers almost loose, all of them (worse on the parking lot) a super dirty, with hand marks all over them and the marble does not seemed to be clean in a long while. The 8th floor is a catastrophy, you look up to the ceiling and will see signs of infiltration everywhere in the hall and its wallpaper is due/damadged. Our room had damaged furniture and a paint job tha is questionable since it has a grosse finish and lacks the refinement you would expect from a marriot hotel and the floor you can see the picture for yourself. It seem it was make to just cover it up much of the defects you see around the hotel. Breakfast was not pleasant. Orange juice was bitter, the other juice had just too much watter, it seemed as it was a refreshment. Cold milk was missing and interestingly enough there is no "bolo de rolo" wich is a traditional cake from recife. Eventualy asked for it and heard that it was not available but since it was asked the you see what could be done. Chocolate cake is ordinary and crumsy dry cake that resembles chocolate in that last bite... cinamon is much better. The tapioca is really nice but you cannot get by eating tapioca all morning. Also the fruit is nice and seems fresh everyday. Staff at the reception are nice, polite and employ effort on helping and keeping its staff working, always to few, 1 or 2, but kind. Parking lot is a joke, but the hotel said it is explored and belongs to a third party person, so I will not make any notes here. So keep in mind that this exausted hotel works, despite all these flaws that makes it an ordinary Brazilian hotel. And this is just what I was not looking for, on celebrating my 41st birthday. But its ok, mostly the guides handed to you on the check in are a wonder and a rented car + gps will do the rest. Cheers!
