It was very easy to book the room and was almost $30.00 cheaper than what both Crown and other hotel booking websites were offering me. The description of the room was a little unclear however and I needed to call the hotel to make sure the room I was looking at was the correct one. Payment was prompt and no extra costs were required.Comment of K. Kathryn , Australia the 2016-01-29

"Good place to stay "
The hotel is located in the heard of Melbourne, and is part of a complex that with other hotels, a food court, mall and casino. I felt I was in a hotel in Las Vegas, very big with a lot of places to shop and eat. The rooms are quiet and nice, great views of the river and the city. Breakfast was incredible too!
"Beautiful hotel, but could be better"
I was here for a one night stay with my husband and daughter. Check-in took a little long which is fair enough, considering that most people are here for the Lunar New Year weekend. Our highlight was probably the swimming pool, which had a great panoramic view of Melbourne! The room was good, pretty clean in general although I was surprised to find that we had to pay for a bottle of still mineral water, which is usually complimentary in the luxury hotels we have stayed in. There are also charges for a portacot, which again, wasn't what we have experienced in other hotels. Bathroom amenities could be better as well – would appreciate having toothbrush and toothpaste in the room without having to contact housekeeping. Overall, the staff members were pretty friendly and helpful although I think we might consider somewhere else for our next staycation.
"Great place to sleep off jet lag!"
This hotel is modern and very busy. There were lines checking in and out all the time. The front desk people were great! They were helpful and fast in checking folks in. They saw how miserable we were after our long journey and checked us in early. The hotel is in a great location and close to all trams...walking distance to parks and shopping. Great rooms.
"Close to perfect"
Regularly stay here when we head to Melbourne. Close to perfect. Staff are generally attentive however there is the odd one or two that can be a little testy. Billing can be an issue here so be careful on checkout. Pool is fantastic but can be a little overcrowded at times. Mr Hive is generally good for breakfast. Recommend for couples and families alike. Will no doubt return.
At $500 a night I was expecting much more from this hotel. They did have very friendly staff and comfy beds but this is about where the good stuff ends. To begin with, we had a city view room BUT our view was of a car park. We didn’t ask to change our room but should we really have to' Our booking states city view so that’s what we expect. Especially when paying that amount of money. Next, the room itself is fine. Comfortable but I expect all upmarket hotels to have at least a bath tub. Oversized shower (which is oversized but nothing to rave about) is not really enough. The carpet is dated and the entertainment system is small. I’ve paid less for nicer places in Melbourne. Ultimately, this place is okay but certainly not worth the money. They need to up their game in order to justify their prices.
