"Very nice Hotel right next to Hyde Park and Oxford Str!"
We visited the Hotel on Christmas and we were very satisfied. The location is perfect you can walk almost evrywhere. The hotel is a 2min walk from the tube and Oxford Str. and you can enter Hyde Park from Marble Arch in 5 min. The hotel rooms are cozy and comfortable. Some of them are smaller than others when i complained that the room size was smaller than the one i had booked we were offered compimentary buffet breakfast. The breakfast was very good and were satisfied with the variety that was offered. I believe that it the best choice you can if you want to be in the heart of London and have a great stay!
"extremely good value"
This hotel offers amazing services, very friendly and helpful staff and is well located on Marble Arch with short walking distances to Hyde Park or shopping on Oxford or enjoying Carnaby or Soho, definitely recommend it
"Noise rooms, mouse droppings on bed, and rude workers"
The location of this hotel is nice, but thats about it. The staff (other than the black concierge) are extremely rude. The rooms are bad. You can hear everything between the walls. We were placed right outside of early lorning constuction and woke up every morning at 730 to workers cutting metal and telling. Not a pleasant vacation while trying to relax.
"Thought I was in a shipyard not a hotel and they were bulding a ship"
My wife and I booked a one night stay at this hotel, thank god it was only for one night. No one around to greet you or help with your bags. You get a hot biscuit at check-in. Reception is friendly but standard. Our room was on the fourth floor and on entering it smelt a little musty, although not to the point of being so bad. Bathroom smallish, although for an overnight stay I suppose it is suitable. We got to the room at 3pm, well both of us run a business and we were very tired from a hectic busy working week. So once we got into the room all we wanted to do, was to settle down and relax with a drink and chill out for the evening. This was something we were really looking forward to as we both also had a busy schedule in London next day. However, no such luck, for at the back of the hotel they are mega, yes mega building works going on. Our eardrums were being constantly shattered by the sound of the loud hammering, loud metal banging, electric sawing and shouting. So load you can hardly hear the televison over it. Believe me when I say you would think you were in a shipyard and they were building a large ship. This went on untill 7pm in the evening and started back up again next morning at 7.30am. Funny enough, I expect for financial reasons the hotel does not warn you beforehand of this. Either on the phone, on their website, or at check-in. You may say, why then did we not ask to be moved. The truth is we were so tired we felt we really did not have the energy to pack again and move again. We decided I suppose foolishly to put up with it for our short stay. Although now in hindsight I think we should of made an effort in moving to another room. However our decission as-well as the tiredness was also decided on the fact that, it was for just one night so lets just put up with it. We stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and even back then they were building works going on at the back of the hotel. We aso encountered at the time a large noisy generator outside our window. When booking we thought as the hotel was close to our business meeting and as we are gold Hilton members and the fact that it was a couple of years ago we stayed here we would book it again. We never thought in a million years that it would as bad just like the last time we stayed here. I am very supprissed no one else has mentioned this unless I have missed it. Anyway next time I think to be safe we will stay somewhere else.
The Hotel is in central location. Front desk people are very helpful and welcoming. The lightnings in our room however was a bit dim. I prefer to have bright lights in the rooms, the bathroom is too small as well.
