Quick checkin & friendly, helpful employees. Room was clean & the bed was comfy. Just a quick trip down to the 3rd floor (although there is in-room maker) to get coffee in the morning. Had the breakfast buffet & it was excellent. Only complaint is that I couldn't find a plain bottle of water to buy anywhere on the premises. The elevator is fast & the Hotel is close to everything. The view of Times Square from a corner suite is the best! We enjoyed our stay very much.
"Location simply the best"
I loved my stay here. The suites are spacious and mine was very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job. I found the room to be surprisingly quiet (16th floor) with very little Times Square noise. The noisiest thing was the ac unit which I turned off at night. The location is perfect with everything close by and a subway next to the hotel. My only small gripe is that a kitchenette is in the suite but no plates or cutlery. Even a couple of plastic ones would have been useful, and also wine glasses. I would definitely stay here again. PS, the warm cookies are really yummy!
"Great location and excellent service"
Had a great stay here. Had time square view on floor 24 family room. View was fantastic and room was surprisingly quiet. WiFi was good and complimentary as a Hilton honours guest. Room had comfy bed, although pull out bed wasn’t as comfortable. Microwave, coffee making, fridge and safe in room. TV in both rooms. Black out blinds on windows. Ample storage for clothes. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. There is a small shop by the bar but it’s expensive. I don’t think you can get a better location to explore NYC. Luggage storage available to hold your bags on day of departure. Warm cookies offered to us at check in & available on request throughout our stay. Very yummy.
"Horrible check in/ wrong room/ still waiting on manger"
the check in experience was absolutely HORRIBLE, had to wait for 30 mins before we could check in, because there was only one person checking in and a line of about 6 people. I paid extra for a room with a view of times square and when I got to the room it was facing the wall of the adjacent building. When I went back downstairs, another person was at the counter and she explained that my room was given to someone else and there could not move us until the next day when they would do a blind move. so we spent the first night (which was the night of bringing in a birthday) in a really crappy room with no view, and not even an apology. Worse yet if I didn't make a fuss about it they would have left us there, very well knowing that they had messed up. Absolutely ridiculous. I was told that the manager would contact us and despite many efforts to contact him we are still waiting. So we paid for a more expensive room and was placed in a dump and was not even refunded the difference in the cost of the rooms. it feels like we were robbed!
"Loved this place!"
I arrived at the Doubletree Suite hotel, Times Square, and after settling down, after a very long flight, I went down for breakfast. There, I was greeted by a very friendly lady named Maribel. She made me feel so comfortable, that I felt like at home. Her professionalism and unique way made my day! I give this hotel 5 stars, not just because of the service, but because of the friendly, and superb staff that made my stay a memorable one! Loved it!!!!
