"Stay at Eastin Grand"
Eastin Grand is a good place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The ambience is good, staff very courteous and friendly.The restaurants take good care of your needs ( for pure vegetarians). The cleanliness is appreciable , the overall experience was good. The bath room need some attention as the water stays on the floor.

Stay at Eastin Grand Hotel, Saigon as part of our 5 star 17 day tour of Vietnam and Laos tour. The hotel room was located on the 4th floor and overlooking the rear of the hotel. Although the view was ordinary the deluxe room was very clean and spacious had a kingsize bed and oversized shower. There very plenty of international power points for charging and plugging in your gadgets. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful and spoke good English. The buffet breakfast was very nice and caters for all tastes and the also make very good coffee. The hotel is not far from the city centre and the hotel provide a free shuttle bus service.
"Not for family with kids"
We were here for 3 nights. This hotel is typically business-friendly. Service is not attentive and staff are just ok in general. Some of the times we got shocked and embarrassed by being questioned if we wanted to have the change (the bill was 300,000; we gave 500,000 bill and the room service staff asked if we wanted the change'!). We would always give something for room service guys because I also work in this industry and I know they deserve some tips on every round. But asking this kind of question makes the guests to feel really embarrassed. During our time there, because of having a baby we dined in room only. There was 1 time I wanted to have the food for my baby first but they refused and they would bring everything at the same time; it means I had to wait for 30 minutes just for a soup for the baby! We would eat the same food every time. The food consistency was not at the level that I expected from a 4* hotel; especially city hotel where many guests shall dine in room after a long trip. We had stir fried noodles; different flavours, different vegetables every time. We had pad thai for 2 times. The first time was fabulous so we ordered for lunch before we checked out. It was terrible (the prawns were with sand, the tofu was spoilt, it was tasteless in general) so I informed the management and their reaction was slow without an apology (it took them 1h to get back to me!) I emailed the guest relation that I would have a late check-out and it was agreed at 14:00; but at 12:20 they called to see if we wanted to stay longer so they could charge extra for late check-out. I wondered if there was any communication between the team' We left some tips on the table on our last breakfast meant for the girl who took care of us for 3 days (in the same table) but there came a male staff taking care of the very front section came to say goodbye and took the tips. We were very surprised but we didn't have time to explain nor to give something else because we were in a rush to our trip. The equipments in room could be better taken care of, especially the cradle. The bath towels with stains and teared on the rear should not be placed for guests at a 4*hotel! The minibar could be refilled after being used (we used all still water on our first night, we looked for the same ones after they cleaned the room but we didn't see till we checked out) As said this hotel is not family/ kid-friendly. Any special request for kids shall be taken with difficulties and response in a way that you feel insulted (I am Vietnamese and I understand the tone!) The best part of the trip was given by Housekeeping team who were very flexible and fast in complying with any requests or with help. The second best part was created by the guest relation team, who would mention you by your name on every response to the call. I really hoped that the hotel management could have approached the guests to ensure that their stay was pleasant. But we had none of attention! It's like you book for the room, you check in and whatever happens during your stay is your own problem!
"Friendly Staff, Clean Environment, very close to the Airport"
I spent 4 nights at the Estin Grand Hotel. The breakfast is very good and I have been to the gym for several times. The gym is well equipped which made me feel like home. It has been a wonderful experience. If someone is here for business and need to go to the airport frequently, I really recommend you to stay at this hotel.
"Good as 5stars hotel"
Good staying expected as 5 stars hotel. When I checked in at the reception, my baggage was left at lobby end. That was no good. I was afraid that my baggage would be stolen. Room was cleaned up well and had many plug sockets. It is good for me, because I have many electrical device.
