If you are visiting Cairo, The Fairmont Heliopolis is your hotel to stay. As close to the airport as it is to the city. You"ll be greeted by a safe and secure entrance to a beautiful hotel as well as by Reda, the friendliest and most helpful doorman I have met. The very professional front desk associates are always ready to help and will make your check-in a breeze. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed. In the Food and Beverages department, the restaurant "My Kind of Place" was an addiction. They had a delicious variety of fresh and flavorful dishes, falafel made while you wait, omelettes, salads, ethnic dishes, cheeses, breads, fruits, etc. (all of which I can not stop thinking about). The service was great and the hostesses(forgive me if I can not remember their names) were the most gracious and helpful, always greeting you by your name and remembering any special request you had the day before. The Lebanese restaurant "Al Dabka" had the most delicious dishes, cooked to perfection, Add in the great service and it was a wonderful experience. The "Egyptian Night" was great, the delicious food and spectacular show made it memorable. Finally, if you walk by the lobby you have to by the Lobby Bar. The drinks plus the live music, what else do you need to end your day' Great experience.
"Lovely hotel near the airport."
Had to stay here for one night for a wedding i was attending. this is a massive hotel with great rooms and 15+ F&B outlets. tried the Lebanese restaurant it was great and good value for money. Staff are very attentive to your needs while there. Cleanliness is also noticeable. Rooms are quite nice with great maintenance. This is a bit far out from downtown Cairo (only 10 mins away from the airport), so if you are looking to stay in downtown Cairo this is definitely not your place. When i booked it was called Fairmont, but they have dropped the brand now and are self managed, and I would expect to pay lower prices due to that.
"Modern building with friendly staff"
This hotel is located behind an army base, not much to walk around. It’s a huge property, you will not even fell the need to go outside. Awesome restaurants... Marche was casual and delicious. My first room had a horrible smoke odor, we could not even breath but the bell man Nasser immediately notice my discontentment and cane back with a new room for me... his service was commendable. The entire staff speaks English and they all are very friendly. They also offer a Clef d’Or Concierge.
"usually stay there"
good place for business purposes. I chose it for location more than anything. It has varied food choices, and its relatively clean place. The staff are kind and helpful but not professional enough. I guess not enough training. It is not top notch but ok as 5 stars go.
"Luxury Hotel near the airport"
Luxury hotel, room was ok but no view just the hotel back yard. Room service was really nice. Breakfast menu is really nice. Meeting rooms are big and comfortable. The hotel is 10 minutes to the airport.
