"Great Place to Stay!"
Huge rooms - you really do have an apartment, but with all kinds of great services. The breakfast was amazing. Served until 11:00, we ate fairly late each day and did not ever need lunch. The food was simply fantastic and the service was an 11 out of 10. The entire hotel staff is so accommodating and genuinely concerned about your enjoyment of their hotel and Dubai that it sets the bar very high for the next place we stay. The gym is huge and under utilized (at least during our stay). We did not use the spa or pool. The location is great starting point for shopping or for visiting older parts of Dubai. It is a bit of a drive to the new Dubai (marina, tall buildings, palm islands, etc), but taxis are affordable. The hotel is great about helping you get a taxi and letting you know the easiest way to do what you want to do each day. We loved having a washer/dryer in the unit - that is a real luxury these days. There is development all over Dubai including this area so I think it will get even better!
"Ideal place to live with family requirements"
It is a very nice place to live with family. A nice professional staff available round the clock to fulfill the demands and requirements. The Deira City Center and metro train station are very near situated.
"It is always a pleasure to stay at the Flora Creek"
I go to Dubai about once a year on business and stay for at least two weeks on each visit. I really enjoy staying at the Flora Creek because of it convenient location near the metro and the Deira City Center Mall and more importantly because of the kindness of all the people who work there. I want to give a special shout out to Manoj and the bellmen and transportation staff for all their kindness and looking after me. I am always greeted by name and shown every courtesy. The transportation staff are very punctual we always had a nice conversation on our way to and from the hotel. This was my tenth time to stay at the Flora Creek and I will do it again.
"Ok Apartahotel but very close to Metro and shopping"
We booked to stay at the Flora Creek after reading all the reviews on TA and other sites. We arrived at the hotel at 9:30am but couldn't check in till 2pm, I had put an early request in that since we were coming to celebrate our anniversary, if the hotel could upgrade us to a creek view room. This request was kindly accepted and our room upgraded and we were given a complementary anniversary cake which we were thankful for. To make things easier I have tried to break down the stay into its different categories Staff Very Friendly and professional all the way from the front check in desk to the porter staff, I cannot fault them and every query and question was answered and they tried their hardest to cater for. Lobby Very clean and smart looking lobby, but as it is a apart hotel it’s on the small side. Room The hotel describes itself as a 4/5 star deluxe apart hotel, however when we got to the room it was anything but deluxe. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was quite big, the room itself felt dark and our creek view was completely obstructed with 3 new huge buildings being constructed so pretty much the entire creek wasn’t visible; this isn’t the fault of the hotel but something to be aware of if you want a creek view. Walking through the rooms we found the decor to be outdated and looked old The bathroom simply had a narrow bathtub with a curtain which when showering would stick thus reducing the size of the bathtub even more, I would have expected at least a bigger standalone shower There was a room for ironing (which could have easily been turned into a standalone shower) however no plug socket for the iron itself so the cord had to be reached around the other side and plugged in (as we had children this could potentially be dangerous). The hotel phone only worked in the living area, the other 2 phones were not working and in the kids rooms there was a socket hanging out (not electrical thankfully), with the aircon being very clunky. In the kitchen the units were old looking and were not aligned (pictures attached) and the cooker had some stains on there, however all cutlery is provided and is a decent sized kitchen The TV had 1 English Channel that had any decent programmes (but was hit and miss depending on time) all the rest were Arabic. I was disappointed that after all the research and the expensive price we paid for the room it wasn’t up to the deluxe level as advertised, fortunately we were out most of the day. Very comfortable beds and pillows. The balcaonies are locked but you can easily get the keys from the front desk, Breakfast Breakfast was varied with a number of different dishes provided as well as a varied selection of bakery products, drinks, fruits and tea and coffee. I was impressed with the breakfast and always walked away ready for the days activities. Pool The pool is indoor and located on the ground floor it is a good size and due to the fact it is located indoors the heat doesn’t get overbearing during the daytime There is a spa type pool joined to it, I didn’t use it so cannot comment but looked ok. Public transport One of the best things about this hotel is that is located approximately 7 minutes away from the Deira city centre metro station and 10 minutes away from Diera city centre itself, this proved to be very useful to get around Dubai, and also to pop into the city centre for food in the evening. The city centre hosts a very big Carrefour supermarket where you can purchase milk, bread etc etc. There are very few taxis that come around the back end of the hotel, so often there is a lengthy wait (if you have to flag one yourself or ask front desk to order one for you). Conclusion Overall a OK hotel in need of modernising but has some excellent staff who provide a A+ service If you are going to be out most of the day and need access to the metro and a quick bite to eat in the evening then this is an ideal hotel, if you’re looking for something a bit more classy then I’m sure there are other options out there. I personally rate this between average and very good
"Very friendly staff in the dining area, clean rooms. Two minutes to the metro."
We stayed there for two weeks in a two bedroom apartment. It was central, very close to the Metro. The rooms were nice and clean. Staff were friendly and polite and helpful. I would really like to thank Aviral and his team in the dining area, who was exceptionally warm and went out of his way to make my kids happy. He was always there offering to make my daughter special meals (she has a milk allergy). They took really good care of us and went beyond their normal duties to make our stay enjoyable. Also the gentlemen at the front door, particularly Manoj. I would definitely go back again and recommend it to people.
