"“A Unique Gem in Riga”"
First of all, I must say that the Gallery Park is a very special hotel. As soon as you step in you will be amazed by the elegant décor. Everything from paintings to the vintage furniture emulates the history of neoclassical era. The hotel literally looks like a luxurious mansion mixed with a museum. The Gallery Park Hotel is very well located with all the major attractions as well as popular bars and clubs being a short walking distance from the hotel. It took me no more than 3 minutes to walk to the Art Nouveau district and around 10 minutes to walk to the heart of Riga's old town. I never had to take public transport to get around the city. I stayed in business deluxe room which was very spacious and clean. The best thing about the room is how private it was. I had a great night's sleep and didn’t hear a thing. My only wish is that there were a iron and ironing board. The spa area is very calm and peaceful just like it should be. Please note that the pool is not heated as it is there to be used to cool off after a sauna session which can be so rewarding after a long day in the city. The fitness room was good but I would suggest the hotel to get one of these multifunctional fitness machines as the room is very spacious and I could definitely see one in there. I believe breakfast is a matter of opinion as some people don’t like A La Carte and prefer buffet. I had a chance to try both and I must say A La Carte is my favorite. My breakfast in Gallery Park Hotel was delicious to say the least. Their A La Carte menu has a wide selection of food including different types of Latvian bread. My omelette with bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms was delicious and having an attentive waitress making sure my order it is to my liking is so much better than a buffet where no one really cares if you like your food or not. The staff is very courteous, everyone is there to help and will always greet you with a smile. Anastasia was always attentive to my demands always had a smile on her face and Erwins gave me a historical tour around hotel and showed me the stunning Imperial and Royal suites who hosted several celebrities and Princes of Asia, India. Before coming to Gallery Park Hotel I’ve read several reviews mentioning that the hotel was empty and so I would like to address this point. The hotel is definitely not empty but not overcrowded either which is perfect if you want intimacy. I saw many guests coming in and out and in my opinion staying in a hotel where the staff can be attentive to each guest is way better than staying in a touristic overcrowded hotel where you will never have a personalized service like the one Gallery Park offers. What I enjoyed the most is how kind people who work in the hotel were. Gallery Park staff is a small team of enthusiastic and attentive individuals that go out of their way to make sure your stay in the hotel is perfect. This is why Gallery Park hotel is the leading hotel and Latvia. This hotel and the city left an amazing impression on me and I will definitely come back in a heartbeat and stay at Gallery Park Hotel again. Unfortunately due to the lack of time I did not get to try their restaurant but it definitely will be on my list when I come back.
"A true luxury experience in the heart of Riga"
I've always dreamt of visiting Riga as this city has always seemed to me really enchanting. Therefore, i wanted my first impression of it to be just perfect and was looking for an ideal place to stay. And this is what Gallery Park Hotel & Spa is all about: considerate and amiable staff, who never failed to make us feel special throughout our stay, incredible interior in Napoleon III style with unique details and, what is the most essential for any traveller, the location is great. It was so easy to get to the hotel from the railway station and also all the main city sights are within the walking distance: the Art Nouveau District and the Old City. Finally, the food, especially breakfasts, is really delicious since there's such a wide variety of dishes to suit any taste. My friend and I were there for three days and it was such a pleasure to spend out time in this very hotel and fully experience the beauty and endless hospitality of Riga!
"Nice and calm hotel"
Hotel has everything that you need (even body scale in bathroom) and has a good location. Restaurant offers good breakfasts, but a-la carte is not the best in the world. However, you can find good restaurants very close around it. WiFi is very fast. Perfect for business trips.
Exclusive location for those who want something more than 5 stars experience. The hotel is a beautiful renovated 19th century building, carefully restored inside and full of pieces of fine art. The deluxe room I stayed was very quiet with garden view, very comfortable bed and a lot of privacy. The staff is very helpful and nice. I will remember for a long time the breakfast a la carte, so tasty! Highly recommended!
"Our first visit in Riga"
We went to Riga for three days to discover this wonderful town for ourselves for the first time. The hotel has a superb location in the Jugendstil area, 10 minutes walk from the old town. The staff was very professional and elegant. We appreciate Viktors and two young ladies for our nice conversations about Riga which helped us to mingle with the locals. There is a small indoor pool - a big thing before or after long time walking in town. The a-la- carte breakfast was good enough as well.
