The hotel is just one block away from the Paulista avenue and has malls , shopping , restaurants nearby. From GRU airport it took about 40 minutes to reach the hotel. Suggestion is book uber from airport and not take the other taxi as uber charges about half what the other taxi charges. Room: Room size is decent ,also has a small kitchenette inside. Minibar has sufficient things but is expensive. The bathroom is old and outdated and they do not keep much amenities there. No comb , ear buds etc. No bathroom slippers provided. The safe in the room is too small and also the clothes cabinet is too small and difficult to move the doors. Hotel itself is huge and has one restaurant , one coffee shop , a gym , swimming pool and several banquet halls. The gym is totally outdated , machines are too old and there is no one in the morning to tell you how to operate as everything is written in Portuguese. The coffee shop serves some nice pastries. Restaurant : Mostly had breakfast here and was so disappointed with it that did not like trying anything else. There is basically only fruits for vegetarians during breakfast. They have only one counter for eggs and it gets too crowded at times that it takes about 30 minutes to get an omelette. Breakfast is same everyday and not much options in cooked side of buffet. They do not replenish the stuff quickly at the counters. Also had a veggie burger there one night and it was good. The beer is also decent not bad. No water bottles provided in the room. The only good thing about the hotel was the location. There is a supermarket nearby and also a petrol pump. Thanks to Beatriz for some good recommendations about places to eat, drink in Sao Paulo. Wifi is free in the hotel. The safe in the room did not have any instructions on how to operate. TV too small in room. The price is higher looking at the quality of amenities in the hotel. May or may not stay here again , all depends on what value i am getting.
"To be refreshed"
Let's start with the good points ; good neighbourhood, quite central position in the city, not too far from airport, only one block away from Avenida Paulista with all the shopping malls and a lot of good restaurants at walking distance. Rooms are big enough, internet connection is OK. This is a typical business hotel with a lot of guests. A small gym and small outside pool are present. Breakfast and lunch are OK, but nothing more than that. It is difficult to compare with other hotels in Sao Paulo in this price category, but when I compare with hotels in other parts of the world (Asia, Turkey, USA), you get better value for your money. The rooms are clean, but for instance the curtains are really philty, the sanitary in the bathroom is outdated, some small things like lime, comb, bathcoat, slippers are not present. Air conditioning not always performant, Single layered glass doesn't stop the noise of the street and the gliding glass door to the terrace wasn't closing. It is still a pity that even at the front desk, few people speak English or another language than Portugese. They do not seem aware of things to do or visit when you ask them, they do not exchange any money. These are basic things one would expect staying at an international hotel. So all in all, the location of the hotel makes up for a series of smaller inconveniences, but the hotel needs to be refreshed for sure.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful .the hotel is in a great location. The rooms our nice and clean .i would stay there again .and would recommend this hotel to people to try not expensive at all .
- the location of this hotel is really ideal; 2 min walk from Paulista avenue - nice surroundings where you feel very safe -professional staff who speaks perfect english -the room smelled very nice and was clean -nice view from the balcony - on the downside, the room could be refurbished maybe -definately recommend this hotel
"Good for short stay"
The hotel is about 50min from the airport. And just a 10min walk to the city center and shopping districts. The hotel rooms are a bit old, some need renovation especially the bathroom where the shower is so hard to deal with. But overall the room is spacious, clean and cozy. The staff is friendly, room service was delicious and the prices are good. Overall it was a good stay.
