"VERY IMPRESSIVE VIEW and UNIQUE ROOM EXPERIENCE"
I was in room 507. For a room closer than room 507 to the center of the width of the port (for photographic reasons), see if you can get either room 508 or 509. Mine and those room's 5th floor duplex experience is VERY UNIQUE. See my photos below.
"Excellent location and fantastic view"
We were lead by TA in selecting this hotel for a four night stay in Marseille, and were not disappointed. The room that we had (109) was termed "deluxe queen with a view" and it delivered the view in spades! Four floors up and overlooking the whole of the old port harbour from the busy end. Fantastic! A reasonable size for a French hotel, with a one-person bathroom with a shower over the bath, which was probably the main limitation...my pet aversion in most hotels! A big plus, though, was the double glazed windows which did a great job of blocking out the interminable noise from the street "entertainment". The check in was easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would go back to this hotel if we were to return to Marseille
"Loved the view!"
We upgraded our view on arrival and were not disappointed! I didn't really know what to expect from Marseille, pre visit, but as soon as we saw that view I knew we would love it! The hotel is in an amazing location not only for exploring the city but also for hoping on the train/bus to get around to other areas like Aix and Cassis. The room was stylish and elegant and they had a beautiful tub to relaxing in after long days exploring. Really and truly loved this hotel!
"Room with a view"
This hotel is right on the old port, with a fabulous outlook. It has everything that a traveller could ask for, room with a view, comfortable bed, our air conditioning worked and a great breakfast. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful.
"Classy, stylish, welcoming, outstanding decor"
If you're driving to the hotel, good luck! It's right on the Vieux Port, with its entrance in the street behind. We were lucky enough to stumble on the Charles de Gaulle car park a couple of steps away and will head straight there on our next visit. But walk into the hotel and the stress of the drive melts away. The lounge on the ground floor is styled like a ship's library with added vintage leather suitcases, which are dotted around all the public areas. The staff uniforms fit into the theme beautifully - witty horizontal navy and white striped tops with navy jackets. Our room was very small, with just about enough room to unpack a suitcase, but again the design was very good and making up for the lack of space, we had the spectacular view of the port, which is gorgeous no matter what time of day or night. The buffet breakfast was very good and the bar a pleasant place for an apero. There is no restaurant, but a limited room service menu is available. We decided against that as we couldn't imagine where we could find room for a tray. In any case, the Vieux Port is hardly short of places to eat, so it really didn't matter. We loved this hotel and will definitely stay there again.
