The H10 Estepona Palace is in the lovely town of Estepona, and just a few minutes from the warm sands of the beach, on Avenida del Carmen 99.
"Golfing holiday with friends"
Over the years I have stayed and played golf in Spain (Costa del Sol & Costa Blanca) but this year instead of going back to Belek Antalya in Turkey we tried mainland Spain again. No way was this Hotel as good as the Turkey ones. It was an all inclusive deal which was good as there were no restaurants or shops nearby. The food was adequate but not nowhere near the quality or selection of the H10 hotel in Gran Canaria which was used by us last year. We were a group of 8 and managed to keep a table in the restaurant so we could all sit together. The trouble here was there was not enough staff to take away dirty plates etc. which didn't leave enough room on the table for other food dishes and drinks. We had to keep calling waiters to come and take the used dishes away which is not basically their fault as there were not enough waiters working so I presume it was cut backs with labour. I can't complain about the cleanliness in the Hotel as it was always in a clean appearance. The room I had was very large and overlooking the sea and part of the pool area with a nice Sofa, desk and a couple of chairs. Alas no tea/coffee making facility in the room and you had to pay for safe key. However there was free wi-fi after getting a code. The bathroom had a Bidet, Toilet bowl, wash basin and Bath with shower facility but it was a big step up to get into the bath with no hand holds to steady yourself. This was the cause of one of our group slipping and hurting himself luckily it could have worse as there were no anti slip Mats in the Bath. Towels were changed daily as were the rooms kept clean. I had to kill a couple of floor bugs that I noticed in the bathroom. All in all out stay was average but doubt if we will go back there.
"Family bday celebrations "
After getting married last year in this beautiful hotel we went back again to celebrate my husband and sons birthday this year, and yet again we were very impressed. All the staff were very friendly especially Juan and Ezio who went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. It's safe to say we will return.! Highly recommended
"Short lovely break ! "
Joined some friends who were already staying at the Estepona Palace for a 3 night break. Loved the Estepona ... lovely spacious rooms with adequate ensuite...lovely warm showers! Right on the sea front ... a lovely pool with plenty of sun beds ( did need reserving early with towels!!!) we also enjoyed aqua aerobics paella demo & eating, & table tennis comp!!! Breakfast was lovely ... loads & loads of choices & good service! Only ate at lunch time but enjoyed a delicious salad & must try there sangria very moorish!! Yes you leave a deposit for towels/ safety box no big deal! We had a car which I think you need as there's not a lot close by... but would definitely return! We have young children ( didn't take them this time!) but would definitely take them here as it seemed very family friendly! No kettle etc in room but we asked to borrow one & one was available xx
Estapona Palace notes not enough sun umbrellas or available shade Most of the staff not very friendly Not a great location nothing really around there no bars or supermarkets and shops. The nearest supermarket is about a mile away! Water very expensive to buy €4.8 per litre. This is made worse because of lack of availability to buy water from anywhere else. Hotel up to the usual H 10 standards. Pool layout good. Got its own private beach but the sand is poor more like dirt. Swimming is roped off if a lifeguard is not in attendance. That's all very well for safety but not so good if you want an early morning swim. The main pool doesn't open until 10 AM! On the Saturday the pool bar was closed for a wedding function. I hope the happy couple had a lovely time but the hotel guests didn't!
This hotel really is the place to stay. It's fabulous, from the style of the building;the cleanliness; the attitude of all staff; the views;the wi-fi (perfect reception from all areas and free!);the air-con, again perfect (balcony door must be closed); the food; the atmosphere; the pools; the evening entertainment; the waiters -all first class. The bedroom (3rd floor) was huge with lovely furniture and lots of space, fabulous beds with THREE fluffy pillows! The access to the sea was much improved while we were there, tons of sand were brought in and you can now walk across the sand without the danger of pebbles and rocks on your feet, much better for paddling. The beds by the pool are pleasantly not in uniform rows but scattered on the lawns and the gardens are lovely. Staff are really helpful, including the Saga and Jet2 reps - even if you haven't travelled with them. José from the animation team is brilliant. He includes everyone without being intrusive, he is friendly and always has a smile and his activities are always on time and fun. Just perfecto! Estepona is a fabulous holiday location with the marina, promenade, lovely beach and the wonderful old town with attractive narrow streets, cafés, bars and restaurants. It's only a short bus or taxi (less than 6 euros) ride away. The taxi is worth the price. It's easy to walk to the marina then carry on along the promenade to the town but if it's hot, it's really nice to begin the walk at the marina and walk along the seafront - gorgeous! It's worth spending those extra Euros to make Estepona so easily accessible. A brilliant holiday, a brilliant hotel. Hasta Luego!
