The H10 Estepona Palace is in the lovely town of Estepona, and just a few minutes from the warm sands of the beach, on Avenida del Carmen 99.
"Truly amazing "
Recently visited this hotel for a wedding it was amazing. Shout out to Angelique on reception, she was great. Would highly recommend. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was to die for!! Great selection for breakfast. The pool area has a plentiful supply of space and it is also near the beach if you fancy that.
"Amazing, amazing, amazing!"
If I could award twice as many stars/ratings I would. We recently got married in Estepona and had our reception in the H10 Hotel. We stayed here for a few days either side of the wedding and it is hard to put into words how good it was. Right from the moment we decided to have our big day (and indeed before we had even decided!) in the H10 they have been amazing to deal with. They made organising a wedding in Spain while living in Ireland very easy and stress free. They did not push anything on us and were very helpful with any questions we had (and there were thousands) right up until the wedding day and even after the big day. Maria Sanchez is one of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet and it was pleasure dealing with her in the lead up to our wedding. Then when Maria Ruiz also started to help out we knew we were in great hands. The wedding itself could not have gone any better. Everything the hotel prepared for us was perfect and it was the most relaxed wedding we have been too…..no job was too small for the hotel to look into. The accommodation was amazing, the rooms in the H10 are unbelievable and when you consider the value of them, I would safely say it is the best hotel we have ever stayed in (and we have been to over 50 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels). Its not just us, all of our wedding guests have said they will definitely be back to visit the hotel in the future. Everything about the place is top notch…from the welcome drink and the smile you receive on arrival, to the scrumptious breakfast served every morning. The spa is amazing and is worth the extra cost, the access to the beach was amazing (even in late October) and the staff are the friendliest people to deal with. A special mention to Ezio who looked after everything from babysitters, entertainment and even as the MC on the night of our wedding…the man is a living legend. Also a special mention to Antonio…..what a bar man…..and only hours after serving us into the early hours he was up serving us breakfast with a smile on his face. Customer service at its best. I could keep going on about how good the hotel is, but I think I have made my point. This placed is not to be missed….be it for a nice romantic weekend away, a family reunion or even to celebrate your wedding, as we did….the H10 cannot be faulted.
"Read if you don’t normally stay in hotels"
This hotel is great for golfers and people that like staying in hotels: I decided that after stopping in self catering for many years I wanted a hotel experience and wanted my husband to have a rest from having to make breakfast etc. Omg! Please listen if you are used to self catering, We went half board as thought it would be cheaper for a two week break. We actually ended up going into the marina most nights for food. The food doesn’t cater for Spanish food so don’t expect it, it’s mostly German food, nothing wrong with that but where is the spanish food' People were like ants in this place and don’t forget your ticket at the door or else! Buy your drinks in the bar as they only serve beer or house wine which is disgusting. Late meals at around Nine is best otherwise you will be stuck for a table. Don’t spend too long though as they will tell you to leave in spanish, you will understand even if you don’t speak the language.......... very ratty staff. That’s only because there isn’t enough of them. Reception were great and staff very accommodating. Cleaning staff were amazing but if you want a lie in, put notice on the door as I liked a lie in and only had the room cleaned every other day, if you are a dirty git, get up early and let them tidy it. I was happy with every other day. If you fancy something different, go to the Indian in the marina, it’s lovely and we went there twice. Go for a coffee and tapas in the marina, we walked there and got a taxi back. The market is okay if you want cheap bags, don’t let them bully you though, they are very forceful: We had a hire vehicle but were scared of losing our space as it costs money to park below the hotel. There is a bus service outside if you fancy it, we had a room on the 5th floor and a lovely view of the sea. Ask for the 5th floor or above, you will have a lovely view of the sea and pool. Oh, the pool' You will see people putting towels down but I can’t understand why people go away to Spain to spend all their time around the pool' Get out and enjoy the place. There is also a beach in front and you can walk into town on it, forget the gate on there, you can walk all the way into the marina, it’s a lovely walk. So please all the people looking at staying here, it’s a fantastic hotel but if you are used to self catering; my husband will never stay in a hotel again and neither will I. I stayed here for 12 days and couldn’t wait to get home. My next holiday is booked in a cottage in Wales with our dog. Questions welcomed, Love and light x
"Short October half term break"
Wanted to see what weather late October in Estepona was like. Normally stay in self catering apartments in this part of Spain but this hotel was a good choice. Nice pool area and directly overlooking the quiet beach. Good 4 star hotel experience and would like to thing we will return.
"Tips for future guests"
1) Some of the power points in Room 114 (maybe other rooms') only work if you switch the lights on. 2) A UK train ticket in the electricity slot works fine & means you don't have to use your key card for that. 3) The TV channels have NO relationship to the list in the room's information file. 4) The swimming-pools are FREEZING.. It's not acceptable for Management to say they're heated in the winter months given that the hotel is closed in November & December & that the average temperature in Estepona in January & February is 13 -14 degrees C - who wants to swim then' Maybe in the much higher temperatures in summer you'd appreciate a cooling dip, but though the October temperature was in the mid 20's very few people braved the cold water. 5) If you want to use the tiny heated pool in the Spa it's compulsory to wear a horrible black bathing cap - but not in the outdoor pools - strange! 6) Hotel cocktails seemed to be low in alcohol - my advice is to watch them being made so you can check all the ingredients being put in. 7) There's a very good convenience store plus an ATM at the Shell filling station about 300 metres from the hotel. Turn left out of the main entrance, go past the Riviera Hotel & it's on your left. You can get wines, beers, milk, hot & cold snacks, sandwiches & UK newspapers there. 8) If like us, you're a Saga guest, you'll find that next year there's NO Saga lounge, cocktail party, Gala dinner or resident Saga rep. We were told that these changes are to appeal to "younger Saga guests"!! 9) I hope that by the time the hotel opens for the new season the nearby building-works have been completed. From our "garden-view" room we could see 2 massive cranes working continuously plus hearing a pile-driver some of the time. I'd have given the hotel 5* if it weren't for the minus-points I've mentioned. The food, staff, décor & ambiance were all EXCELLENT as were the activities put on by the hotel.
