Just returned from Las Palmeras Hotel Tenerife and had a fantastic time. Hotel wad lovely, I am a fussy hard to please person and I cant say anything negative about this hotel. The staff worked hard, nothing was too much trouble and were always smiling. Food was great particularly the Japanese Restaurant, we went all inclusive, highly recommended Would advise paying extra for sea view room. Looking to booking again
Pros - -Friendly staff -very clean and smart hotel -great location right on a beach and short walk from 2 larger sandier beaches. - right in centre of shops and bars so plenty to do - 10 minute walk from siam park - might just have got lucky but the week we went, very few kids about! Cons- Food at lunch and dinner wasnt bad by any means but we did find it got very repetetive, quite a few options but same everyday almost. Breakfast was a let down a lot of food wasnt cooked well and the bacon is plastic. Get your bacon fix from snack bar outside later on they fry it fresh there and then - Staff are very quick to come and take a drinks order at meals which is great, but the soft drinks are very small amounts so often needed a refill, but they seen to avoid you after your first drink and you have to try and grab them as they pass to get another - I believe they have bigger rooms, whilst ours was fine it had a small fridge but no other kitchen amenities which would be nice to be able to have tea/coffee snacks in rooms
What a great hotel, from start to finish the stay was amazing. A great location right in the middle of Las Americas perfect for either going into the restaurant area or the bar area. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious and the hotel itself was in immaculate condition with great décor and facilities throughout, the selection of places to eat and drink were amazing and the extra restaurants in addition to the all inclusive were brilliant especially the Japanese/Thai. The all inclusive was brilliant the food was warm, tasty and plentiful and the help yourself drinks were a bonus! you could opt for table service if you wanted. The service outside at the pool bar area was pretty slow but this was expected as it was late July but you could tell the staff were working their socks off. There was one night were hotel entertainment was took to a whole new level I have never seen before. The tables were lined with white tables cloths and a the outside area was transformed with cocktail carts for handmade cocktails (which were delicious) and popcorn/candy floss stalls and it really just added that bit extra to the entertainment scene. We travelled as a large group for my mother 40th and the customer relations team were great in sorting out reserved tables and a cake for a birthday breakfast the morning of her birthday. Well done to all the team up there with the best hotels I have stayed at!
"Pity about Swimming pool"
This hotel has many positives about it. Firstly it is kept in immaculate condition and is modern in its decor. The food is plentiful and well cooked with a good selection which would suit most peoples requirements the restaurants are airy and spacious with two specialty restaurants. We were on AI so appreciated the service on drinks. Rooms are large enough for a holiday stay and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The real negative for me is that you cannot get near the pool until 08-00 am (or later) in the morning and swimming is not allowed until 09-00 am a downer if you like an early morning swim. This is because they are cleaning up why they cant do this in the evening or earlier shows poor organisation. Apart from this an excellent hotel. Internet in all rooms.
"A classy hotel in a perfect setting"
We have just returned from the Las Palmeras in Playa de las Americas. This is a luxurious hotel, well worth its rating. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, the rooms comfortable, and the food of excellent quality. The gardens are a beautiful setting for two large swimming pools and sunbathing areas, and there is a secure gate which opens out onto the promenade. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back again.
