Lovely, cosy rooms, warm, friendly, a pleasure to stay here especially the lounge where there is a lovely view of the harbour they are so attentive but respectful. We will definitely return. Thank you Candy and her team.
"Typical "big hotel" with all the little issues that never get fixed"
The hotel is like so many of those giant 800 room late 80s / 90s Asian hotels. Rooms are ok, lobby is huge, everybody is trying their best, but there's always something... For me it was the internet not working AT ALL for the first 2 hours when I arrived. I needed to do some work and it was so frustrating. In typical fashion, I got the "sorry sorry sorry" but no results for a while. Other than that, the location is pretty central, the price is very fair and the breakfast buffet was awesome.
our room was small but had everything we needed, the shower was in the bath easy to get in and out. we had an upgrade to harbour club lounge great staff Kitty and Jasmine looked after us very well. drinks finger food great breakfast personal check in and out. a wonderful view of the harbour from roof top garden
"Pathetic Big Hotel with small Claustrophobic Rooms"
We are currently staying in the hotel and would say the worst decision we made 1. The hotel calls itself 4* - its not even 3* the way it is , it needs a lot of maintainence .No sockets everything is on extension boards all light even the television. The bed is uncomfortable and pillows in bad shape 2. These are the tiniest rooms in the history of rooms and if u look for an upgrade they would ask you a humongous upgrade cost which does not fit with the kind of place 3. Folks "assuming" that you will get a free wifi please come over it u have to pay 50 HKD per day for it( in todays time not even 2* hotels ask money for wifi) 4. Even after requesting multiple time and even after availaibility of room they will not help you with a better floor or view Going by the earlier reviews we booked it and are clearly disappointed
"Wonderful Staff, Clean but Rooms on the Small Side"
The staff was very attentive and was always willing to help in any way they could. The rooms and public areas were very clean and bright. We had a wonderful view out our room windows on the 19th floor. We could see Victoria Harbor and all the passing boats. We could also view the rooftop pool. we enjoyed swimming very much and ate poolside (a delicious pizza). My husband used the workout room overlooking the pool and said it was fine. He walked to the Polytechnic University and I took a terrific deluxe city tour through the Grayline Tours offered in the hotel lobby. The tour was worth every penny and gave you a wonderful overview of the whole of Hong Kong, especially for a first-time visitor to the city. The complimentary breakfast was huge and top-notch. It covered American, British, Indian and Chinese food. Very thorough. At night the patio bar was all lit up and beautiful. The singer surprised us with a medley of the Carpenters. At 8pm every night there is a city laser light show from the tops of various skyscrapers over Victoria Harbor. The patio bar was the perfect place to enjoy a drink, a snack and enjoy the lights. Great hotel.
