"Great hotel, good location"
We stayed here for 3 nights recently. Very nice hotel. Room was spacious, big bed and lovely bath. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on that. We chose local food places which were reasonably priced. Located about a twenty minute walk from the old Portuguese town. Or a $40HK taxi ride. All staff seemed friendly. For English speaking we found that the concierge was the best option. Opposite is the Sands casino which provides free shuttle busses to the South part of the Island where you will find all the big casino's. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the port.
Very grande marble reception The room was finished to a high standard with a very comfortable bed and linen. Gorgeous old style bath on legs, a little small but lovely. We didn't eat any meals at the hotels by our own choice so cannot comment on food
"Very Good from Myanmar Guests."
My first travel to Macau for PATA Travel Mart 2017, where me and my wife stayed for 4 nights at sea view room. 1-Location' You can access to Mc Donald, KFC and Starbucks at a walking distance to front Sands Casino and you can take free shuttle bus to Cotai Venetian Hotel and have Bus stop in front of hotel to downtown and anywhere else. Meter Taxi is another option. 2-Plenty items of Breakfast like Europeans, Chinese and Asian food styles. 3-Room is clean but i found a huge bug on the bed and i recorded video for that bug (must care for pest control)and amenities are good especially Handy Smart Phone that you can take out side and use free internet and domestic free call. 4-Bathroom is nice and clean but so wet at toilet seat area because there is no drainage hole even after housekeeping cleaning. 5-You have to wear shoes with complete fitness wear to do workout at gym and don't allow with bear foot or slipper. 6- Swimming pool is clean and not so deep, not so shallow and not so wide not so tiny with 4 Jacuzzi. 7- You can enjoy dinning and bar at 2nd floor until near midnight. BTW, they have Beer Macau. 8- Front desk, concierge staffs need to be more attentive. 9- Price' More than fare enough for 4 star hotel.
"Horrible hotel with zero respect for the guests."
The hotel was hit by typhoon, I understand the situation, but the hotel did not inform any of the already paid and booked customers about it for even 2 days after it. I was one such customer who arrived at their hotel 2 days after the typhoon and at midnight. To my horror they refused us entry into the hotel and asked us to fend for ourselves another hotel. We were with a year old baby and a handicapped person, but they showed no mercy. Their manager Luke Fu is literally the worst manager I have ever seen. He had no sympathy on the customers and was arrogant too. He bluntly asked us at 12am to find a different hotel and locked the hotel from inside. After much of arguing and hue, he finally called his upper management, who as if a mercy on us were ready to offer 8 of us 3 rooms with no AC , no hot water and no ventilation and that too just for a night, plus no breakfast either. The shameless hotel isnt even ready to give us partial refund for the night without AC / hot water / food. They are literally the worst hotel I have ever faced. Never ever book into this hotel, they will treat you as beggars and keep you outside the hotel even after you have paid for the rooms.
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for three nights. Yes the lobby looks grand and our room was a good size and I did enjoy the bath. Unfortunately we arrived shortly after the category 10 typhoon and we think this was the reason our room had a damp smell. Cannot blame the hotel for this. The Handy phone is useless. Did not work and had to ask twice for someone to look at it. It's no good if you want to walk around. Seems only to work if you are in a car which is a shame. Both myself and my husband did not think the service was very good. We had some trouble being understood by the various hotel staff. We only speak English and we assumed at this quality hotel there would be someone with some English available at all times. The free bus back to the ferry terminal worked well but ignore what the staff tell you. Just go outside and wait till the bus arrives. It does not appear to run on the half hour like we were told. Also we had a one hundred HK dollar food and beverage voucher which the hotel refused to honour. All in all I do not think we received value for money.
