"friendly and comfy hotel"
very comfortable and friendly only gripe is the only lift out of action for about half an hour at 4pm as washing being moved.while guests waiting and it is 2 floors to the first level.there must be a way around this' I would definitely recommend though!
"A great place to use as a base"
Hotel is comfortable, great for the location of all aspects of Liverpool eating, serves no breakfast but has discount arrangements with varies places. it is all that you want for a hotel, clean, with very helpful staff
"overnight stay to see Lightnight Liverpool"
We chose the Heywood House Hotel for it's proximity to all the central attractions of Liverpool. There is a good bus system to get you to all the other attractions. Liverpool is an easy city to get around.
"Lovely hotel, amazing location!"
Bit of a quirky little hotel that began life as an old bank building. Bedroom was clean and everything you'd expect. Free decent wifi throughout. Excellent value hotel this, we only paid about £60 and the location is absolutely amazing. Right in the heartland of the food and drinks part of town and only a five minute stroll from Albert Dock and Pier Head. Spot on!
"Visit to Anfield absolutely ruined by this hotel!"
We don't get to come overseas often and when we do, it's a huge deal for us, especially when it's our last trip for a while because I am pregnant with twins. We booked Heywood House hoping for a relaxed evening before we made our pilgrimage to Anfield to watch out favourite team play, which was to be the highlight of our trip. We got into bed that night and already noticed the hotel was LOUD. From inside and outside it was just loud with people chatting, doors slamming and music coming from bars. We battled that with a sound machine and were able to finally fall asleep. Middle of the night, all hell broke loose. The fire alarms went off multiple times! It was like an air horn going off next to your head. It was horrendous. After the final alarm, which went off for a good 15 seconds, there were no chance of going back to sleep. We ended up with no sleep and I was so exhausted I was physically ill all the next day. It absolutely ruined by trip to Anfield that I looked forward to for months and made my drive down to the coast later in the day an absolute nightmare. The manager was supposed to call me and never did. She sent an email saying it wasn't their fault and they would give me a discount on another stay! Why the hell would I ever stay there again'''' The room was expensive and we were screwed big time out of money, sleep and and event that was a huge deal to us. Never again.
