Fantastic and excellent hotel. A very good extensive breakfast with large choice. A bit further away from the Centre and the City famous beaches but many better shopping malls in Barra de Tijuca and large white sandy more silent Brazilian populated beaches.Comment of W. It provided excellent facilities except for one night when they were filming where we wanted to eat! Food tended to be a bit samey, but was adequate. Rooms great for us and wonderful bathroom facilitiesComment of M. Anne , United Kingdom the 2017-01-01
"Business and pleasure"
I had a wonderful stay here. While it's not close to the major tourist attractions, the hotel and staff are very nice and helpful. Pedro,at the lobby bar, makes an awesome caipirinha. The hotel is nice, new and very welcoming.
This is another great Hilton Hotel. My main concerns with hotels are room and bathroom cleanliness and it delivers on both. I also appreciate very much the amazing bed and the blackout curtains that are very good blocking any sunlight. If you are traveling for pleasure/vacations, keep in mind the hotel isn't close to the beach. I would stay there anyway, I love it.
"WOW...GOT REALLY BAD IN EVERYTHING. LAST STAY SUPERDISAPPOINTED DIAMOND MEMBER"
what a pity. apparently they got a new management and cheapness and mediocrity got into the whole hotel. being a diamond member I don't like it being lied at for upgrades. suites not available, sorry. then i showed them 2 suites on the app, they blushed and woosh it was available. embarrasing moments for them. breakfast : all the nice things and dearer items all of a sudden disappeared. no more salmon, no more spanish ham. mortadella (worst brazilian kind) and cheap cheeses galore. even brie and camembert just evaporated. then the terrible staff at the executive lounge which never cleaned up the tables but preferred to talk for hours about hertedious life in a slum and making friends with cheap argentinian tourists who even had a husband for her thanks to whatsapp ,directly from rosario. after one night they cancelled totally the happy hour at the lounge (yes really) and gave us 4 vouchers for some drinks at the noisyyyyyyyyyy bar in the lobby. the hotel beach shuttle was cancelled as well for the whole time. sounds like a book keeper is playing hotel manager. bad, bad experience THANKS FOR SOME NICE STAYS, FROM NOW ON I WILL NOT COME BACK. i will stay at the grand hyatt , 30 us more expensive but they know at least how to pamper vip members. very bad this last stay, indeed, really a pit
Stayed here with a group for business, the Rock In Rio Festival, which is right down the road from here. 1 - the rooftop pool is INCREDIBLE; warm and comfortable, bigger than it looks. The view from the roof pool/bar is amazing! The bar is nice. GREAT spot and so memorable. Watch planes land in the small grass airstrip across the river in front! 2 - this is the best hotel breakfast buffet I think I've ever seen. All the basic Brazilian options are right alongside the American/English options. Come for this! 3 - the rooms are nice, beautiful and clean, even the hallways are gorgeous. 4 - The only hassle is the room key MUST be used to access the elevators each time, a real pain when you have your luggage and a group wants to go to bed! Each time up/down you have to use the key and then use elevators (which don't require a key!')
Great people and great place!! Must come to the bar!! Meet Bruno!! Get the best cocktails:-)) very warm and friendly staff!! Glad my time in Rio was at the Hilton!! The place is located near the Olympic village and has a wonderful shopping mall just opposite! Great views!!
