Staying at the Hilton Dresden means you are staying right in the heart of town. A few steps take you to most places you want to visit and the river boat starts below the Hotel. I have stayed there several times over the past 25 years and always enjoy being there more than at other more elegant Hotels in Dresden. I stay by preference at the Executive Floor and enjoy all the free snacks, breakfast, Cocktail Hour and Dinner offerings in the lovely Executive Lounge. It is well worth it and provides a calm retreat after sightseeing. Very friendly service!
Great place to stay and visit the staff at this location is the best. Any business amenities needed are made readily available. Look forward to a return in the near future. Rooms are very clean, breakfast selection was endless. Many sites and eatery's are within walking distance.
Interesting place. Fantastic location and open and airy foyer. Room was disappointingly small though and I was annoyed to be told my Honours card would not be recognised as the booking had been made by a travel agent. First time this has ever happened to me after many years of loyalty to the Hilton brand. This, and a surly receptionist when I checked out left a bitter taste.
"Hilton Dresden is a great place to stay"
Loved this hotel and Dresden so much I tried to change my plans to stay another day. You can't beat the location it's right where all the sites and cafes are at. Loved it there. We visited Berlin, Munich and Garmisch and Dresden topped them all.
"Best location in Dresden"
Dresden is not a big city and you really want to walk to all the points of interest. The Hilton is right in the center of the Old Town - between the Frauenkirche and Schloss. Ten minutes walk will take you anywhere on the tourist map. Rooms are good and the breakfast buffet is about as good as anywhere in Germany. The staff was helpful and accommodating. It is pretty amazing to be staying in a "Baroque" building and sector where - literally - nothing was there 20 years ago. Dresden has done an amazing job recovering from the catastrophic events of 1945. WiFi was free - but that was with HiltonHonors.
