We wished we had stayed longer. Very comfortable and friendly hotel. On Street parking was easy. Walkable to the attractions. More personality than the usual high rise hotel, and a nice whisky selection at the bar too!
This hotel is located on the tram, train, and bus lines. Easy to get to all attractions. Great for walking down Prince Street for shopping -- Radley, TKMaxx, Jenner's. Located in Haymarket for good eating. We ate where Sean Connery dined. Only downside was lack of USB ports and separate hot and cold taps on sink. Free wifi in room if you belong to Hilton Honors program.
"Edinburgh Grosvenor good value for money. Great location"
Lovely hotel very quiet and in great location. Bit of a chew negotiating 1 way system to find car park from hotel as not on site but 5 min walk. Very central to all places of interest. Would stay again
"Very good location"
Great location and excellent breakfast choice, very friendly staff and great bar in the evening. Rooms not out of this world but clean and comfortable and reasonable value All attractions on the door step quite close to Murrayfield and Princess street
"Ok hotel, nothing special - service is mediocre "
Stayed here for a night during a business trip. Checked in around 10pm after a flight and taxi from air port (taxi company at airport sensational btw!) I was met by a lovely friendly receptionist who advised me I'm staying in the townhouse which is directly down the corridor. After walking aimlessly (including past reception two times) I asked for more specific directions to be told I'm outside, across the road and in the building at the end of the street. This is fine, but would've liked to have been told... After wandering aimlessly again in the second building I found my room. Lovely high ceilings and modern decor. Jumped in the shower immediately and once out settled down to watch tv. Tv didn't work! I rang reception and would be told concierge would be up. They arrive 11pm and check the tv to tell me all the cables are in so they can't help. No solutions. I ring reception and ask for a new room to be told it's too late but I can pay for Wi-Fi!! After refusing they gave it to me for free. I wouldn't normally complain but my meeting wasn't until 11am the following day so needed some form of entertainment. All in all a lovely room (once there) but service left a lot to be desired. Met with short answers, lack of urgency and missing that personal touch. However the bed was superrrrr comfy!!
