Had a great experience, hotel was very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, food was amazing, stayed on 17th floor, great views of the city, 15 minute walk to the Hydro, onsite parking, great bar and restaurant.
"Good location, great breakfast"
The hotel is in a good location and close to the centre. The Scottish breakfast was excellent especially the haggis and black pudding. Rooms are big, spacious and clean. Nice bar but pricey £6 a pint!
"Surprisingly nice stay"
With none of the normal hotels I would stay at available, I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. My first room smelt like someone had been smoking a cigar just minutes before I entered. It was a very strong smell. Reception were kind enough to swap me to a new one immediately. The rooms are large, comfortable with a slightly dated decor. Nothing to worry about but its more classic US style rather than modern boutique. I had a lot of work on my first evening and it is a very pleasant room to use a laptop an relax with plenty of desk space, spare pens/paper and more than enough wall sockets. The breakfast was a particular highlight. Very impressed with the choices and the number of attentive staff serving. I'm a Holiday Inn Spire Elite member but I think I might be forgetting the points and staying here on my next visit.
Stayed here as part of a tour group with AAA. It is a very large hotel. Nothing outstanding except it was easy to catch a hop on hop off city tour bus a couple of blocks away. Breakfast was good. I think it is a very good business hotel.
"A fabulous stay in the Glasgow Hilton"
We stayed at the Hilton Glasgow between 10/11/2017 and 13/11/2017 to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. We checked in very early as we had travelled up to Glasgow on the Caledonian sleeper from London. My wife is a diamond Hilton Honors member. At check in we were obviously too early for our room but were given a key to the executive lounge for a coffee and some breakfast. We are members of the Livingwell health club so used our cards to have a swim, pamper and shower first. We left the hotel and had a day in Stirling. On return to the hotel our room was ready and to our surprise a bottle of bubbly and some chocolate strawberries had been left for us in the room which was much appreciated. The room itself was very nice and well equipped. In the evening we ate at the restaurant. We had purchased a meal voucher which had an offer of 3 courses for £17 from the table d’hote menu which had a choice of dishes on to choose from. Alternatively you could eat off the A la carte and pay the difference. As an anniversary treat we chose to eat off the al la carte menu . We had the shared tomahawk rib and it was excellent. We were very happy with the food and service in the restaurant and staff were very friendly (especially enjoyed talking to Kirsty). The breakfasts were epic and had a great selection of hot and cold items. Every member of staff in the hotel were a credit to Hilton and I must say this is the best one we have ever stayed at and if going to Glasgow again would definitely stay here.
