Holiday Inn London Kensington is just 150 metres from High Street Kensington Underground Station. The famous Museum Mile is a 10-minute walk, and Earl’s Court is a 15-minute walk away.
Hotel ok. Quiet location. Breakfast ok.Comment of T. Johan , Denmark the 2016-11-28
Great location, clean room. Check in very slow and only one lift working on our side of the building, but I would definitely stay here again, great value for money.Comment of M. Stephanie , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Had a family weekend in London with my 74 year old mother, 14 year old niece and 5 year old daughter. All of our needs were catered for. The rooms had been refurbished and were clean and tidy. The staff were so helpful and friendly it was a pleasure staying there. Location is fab.Comment of S. Donna , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Although the hotel is now branded as a Holiday Inn, the service and helpfulness of the staff has not changed. It was again very enjoyable stay.Comment of B. Ian , United Kingdom the 2016-10-25
It was a very pleasant experience staying here for two nights. Since we arrived, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was impeccable and very comfortable. The locations is fantastic having the underground a block away and the hotel can arrange any transport for you. We highly recommend this hotel and will be back for sure.Comment of B. "Perfect location and loved this hotel"
My boyfriend surprised me with a three day London visit this July. We stayed at the Kensington close hotel, which has been taken over by the holiday inn group (6 months ago). Upon arrival we were given a voucher for a complementary drink in the lounge. The staff is very friendly and they tend to your every need. (We forgot a razor, this was brought up to our room within minutes) The breakfast buffet was really good with an omelette station and fresh fruit. If you want fresh orange juice, you will have to get in line to squeeze it yourself, but we did not mind in the slightest. The pool and sauna facilities are just £5pp and were very clean. There was no noise at night, so we had a good nights rest. This hotel is close to the High Street Kensington tube station (about two minutes walk) and the Kensington gardens 6 min walk. They are currently renovating some of the rooms, so there was a bit of noise during the day, but we were exploring London, so it didn't bother us. We would definitely book this hotel again!
"Large rooms "
We stayed for a couple of weeks on our first visit to London, excellent rooms, surprised with the size, good conditions, staff was well informed about the best places to visit, balanced price quality, highly recommend.
"Don't stay here!!!!"
We are a family of four, so we booked two standard hotel rooms and requested to be near each other. One room had two twin beds (for my sister and I) and the other had a double bed (for my parents). Our rooms were a few doors away, both on the 6th floor which was fine. There were distinct differences in each room that didn't make sense. Their bathroom was larger with a table to put their things around the sink. Ours was small and hidden behind a sliding door with no sink room at all AND our lock didn't work. They also had a hair drier attached to the wall that barely worked and you had to hold down a button the whole time you were drying your hair, while we had a normal plug-in one that worked much better. When they requested to get a different hair drier, they were told there were no other types in the hotel. Our room had a light up closet with a mini fridge inside, and we had a small couch. Their room only had a smaller closet. There were three separate key cards between our two rooms that stopped working between days 1-3. The second morning, my parents noticed that their door wasn't even locking and anyone could open it. The maintenance came and "fixed" it and then a few days later (Day 4), we came back around 9:15 pm, exhausted from a long day of touring, and neither of their key cards worked. My Dad went downstairs and they gave him two new key cards and they didn't work either. Instead of going down 6 floors again, he opted to call guest services from our room. Ten minutes went by without anyone picking up. He went back down and they told him they could move them to a new room on the second floor. So, at this point it is 10pm, and we pack all their things up again and move it all down to the second floor. This new room, also a double bed, but much smaller and the bathroom door also didn't lock and didn't even shut all the way. This room had a couch stuffed in it, but still no mini fridge like our room. There was barely any walking space and you have to squeeze past the bed to get into the bathroom. To top it off, the wifi didn't work in the new room and the staff said they have no problems with wifi on the second floor and they would call an "outside" company to fix it. So, with all the problems the first room had, the second room was a DOWNGRADE. Meanwhile during all these issues, we were not once offered any compensations for our troubles. We had a busy schedule trying to tour all of London and wasted a lot of time dealing with unacceptable hotel room issues. I would not recommend staying here ever. I have never had a worse hotel experience in any country I have traveled to. We are still here another three days, so let's hope these last ones don't bring any more trouble.
"In London on business "
I don't get to stay in Holiday Inns in London that often due to the cost. This came up on our travel system with a good price so couldn't resist. This is a large hotel with a large bar and restaurant and a Starbucks in the reception area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room wasn't particularly big but it was modern and had all the usual amenities such as a large flatscreen TV, safe, etc. The choice at breakfast was pretty wide and the food was very tasty.
"Wonderful afternoon!! "
My pal and I have just arrived home from a fantastic 'Prosecco&Afternoon Tea Spa Day'. The staff were wonderful and our 30 min treatments (included in package) with Tia and Viviana were just lovely! Thoroughly recommend!
