Holiday Inn London Kensington is just 150 metres from High Street Kensington Underground Station. The famous Museum Mile is a 10-minute walk, and Earl’s Court is a 15-minute walk away.
Hotel ok. Quiet location. Breakfast ok.Comment of T. Johan , Denmark the 2016-11-28
Great location, clean room. Check in very slow and only one lift working on our side of the building, but I would definitely stay here again, great value for money.Comment of M. Stephanie , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Had a family weekend in London with my 74 year old mother, 14 year old niece and 5 year old daughter. All of our needs were catered for. The rooms had been refurbished and were clean and tidy. The staff were so helpful and friendly it was a pleasure staying there. Location is fab.Comment of S. Donna , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Although the hotel is now branded as a Holiday Inn, the service and helpfulness of the staff has not changed. It was again very enjoyable stay.Comment of B. Ian , United Kingdom the 2016-10-25
It was a very pleasant experience staying here for two nights. Since we arrived, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was impeccable and very comfortable. The locations is fantastic having the underground a block away and the hotel can arrange any transport for you. We highly recommend this hotel and will be back for sure.Comment of B. "Absolutely a gem! Very pleased!"
I found this hotel absolutely wonderful! Check in was a breeze. I asked for a higher floor room and was surprised by a complimentary upgrade. As a loyal IHG member and fellow employee of Holiday Inn, I was so grateful for this. I stayed in 8018. The room itself was spacious with complimentary sparkling and still water, robes, slippers, etc. It was lovely. On the second day of my stay I enjoyed the spa and health club. I’d had a massage somewhere else in London that morning, then used the pool and steam room, completing my day of pampering with a body scrub from Imagine Spa (£35) which was lovely and given by Abigail. Our chat was very nice too, she was close in age with me, and offered me insight on London. I felt very comfortable and relaxed. The restaurant was very good. I enjoyed their fish & chips, Mac & cheese, and fries after a night of drinking that hit the spot! I think the gentlemen’s name was Amil from the bar/lounge and I’d like to say he was very personable and kind! I can tell he enjoys what he does. Outstanding service! The drinks were quite pricey, a simple vodka and soda costs £11 total with tax. I wish the breakfast buffet hadn’t been a ridiculous near £20 pounds per day.... which was obviously not worth it and not something I partook in. Especially when there’s the Muffin Man tea house and Cafe Nero, among other restaurants very close by. The cost to utilize the pool and steam room was annoying. But not ridiculous. I think a set amount for your whole stay would be better than a daily fee of £5. With that said, I did only do that ONE day! I enjoyed the Starbucks inside the hotel as well. It was nice how they offered guests a cup at check in and we could get free a Starbucks coffee anytime. The entire staff was very accommodating and nice, from the doormen to front desk to restaurant staff. They held my bags free of charge on my day of depart also which was so fantastic!!! The internet was fantastic, as was the bed (SUPER comfortable, I slept great). The location of the hotel was everything, EVERYTHING. Just off of Kensington High St, this hotel put you right around the corner from the Underground station, lots of shopping like H&M, TK Max, Urban Outfitters, Zara, etc. and lots of restaurants. I enjoyed the Whole Foods within walking distance as well. Overall my experience at this hotel was wonderful and I would gladly stay again, and recommend others to stay as well. You won’t be disappointed!
"Location location location!"
I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel. Staff was very attentive and room was just what we expected. Our breakfast buffet was included in our hotel rate and it was good. Location was the best since it's close to Kensington high street underground and a lot of bus stops that pretty much take you around London.
"Good location with good transport links"
I stayed at this hotel on a business trip. It is in an excellent location on the Circle and District lines and close to Paddington station. The hotel is maintained to a high standard and was spotlessly clean throughout. The staff were very helpful and polite. My room had everything I needed in it for a 1 night business trip but would have been on the small side if it was for leisure, simply as the king size bed was too large for the room. Breakfast was not included in my room rate and I was offered the addition when I checked in. There are a number of cafes and restaurants within walking distance so I didn’t take up the extra breakfast service. The hotel has a gym and pool which I didn’t see advertised on their website before travelling. My stay was reasonably comfortable besides the curtains not closing properly or being able to turn the room heating down. Upon check out the duty manager was at the reception desk and personally reassured me that upon my next visit I would be taken care of and upgraded as I didn’t have a good nights sleep. I would return to this hotel because of the value for money given the location.
"Love the hotel"
A lovely hotel near Kensington High Street, friendly and serviceminded staff :) Very good breakfast even for me with celiac disease. Not far from shopping in Kensington High street, Kensington Palace, Holland park and Hyde park. The hotel staff will gladly organise a taxi for you and even transfers to and from airports.
"Great location and VFM for central London. Great sleep. Small shower cubicle"
The most important thing to me when I stay in a hotel is how well I sleep. The room was at the right temperature, quite and very comfortable bed/pillow, so I woke up refreshed. The room and bathroom were small, and to be honest, I don't mind that, as I don't really spend a huge amount of time awake there. However, the shower cubicle was very small, which was slightly disappointing. Breakfast was great - really liked using the orange press myself. Almost all of the staff were very friendly and kind...but after I had finished, whilst in the cafe near the exit, one of the staff was rude, and gave me the impression that I should apologise for disturbing him. That tarnished the final impression of what was otherwise a great stay.
