Holiday Inn London Kensington is just 150 metres from High Street Kensington Underground Station. The famous Museum Mile is a 10-minute walk, and Earl’s Court is a 15-minute walk away.
Hotel ok. Quiet location. Breakfast ok.Comment of T. Johan , Denmark the 2016-11-28
Great location, clean room. Check in very slow and only one lift working on our side of the building, but I would definitely stay here again, great value for money.Comment of M. Stephanie , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Had a family weekend in London with my 74 year old mother, 14 year old niece and 5 year old daughter. All of our needs were catered for. The rooms had been refurbished and were clean and tidy. The staff were so helpful and friendly it was a pleasure staying there. Location is fab.Comment of S. Donna , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Although the hotel is now branded as a Holiday Inn, the service and helpfulness of the staff has not changed. It was again very enjoyable stay.Comment of B. Ian , United Kingdom the 2016-10-25
It was a very pleasant experience staying here for two nights. Since we arrived, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was impeccable and very comfortable. The locations is fantastic having the underground a block away and the hotel can arrange any transport for you. We highly recommend this hotel and will be back for sure.Comment of B. "Have been to much better Holiday Inns - very disappointed"
We stay at Holiday Inns a lot and have always been happy until now. We stayed overnight at this location before travelling to Germany. When we arrived on foot with three big suitcases the Concierge was far too busy talking to the taxi drivers outside the hotel to notice that we needed help up the steps to enter the building, so we struggled with this. The reception area and restaurant looked very nice but our room was definitely not up to standard. Our room was described as a king size executive and it was tiny. There was no fridge and the air conditioning unit was very noisy. The bathroom was quite shabby and the cupboard under the sink looked as if it had been patched up. The mirror above the sink was so high I could only see the top of my head (see photo). Free Wi fi was advertised but this was so painfully slow we gave up trying to use it in the end. It was ridiculous. When we checked out we mentioned this to Samara who was a trainee on the reception desk. She couldn't have been more disinterested! She didn't ask how our stay was or whether everything was ok. Very sullen. She obviously needs more customer service training. This is the worst Holiday Inn, in fact I would go as far as to say, the worst hotel we have stayed in and we are frequent travellers.
I stayed for a week on business at this hotel and it is very basic. When you enter the bathroom you can not turn around as they are fitting a bath, toilet and a sink where there should only be a toilet. The lifts are terrible.
"Fine, but nothing memorable"
Other than the lovely doormen, who were welcoming every time we came and went, and Abed (') at the concierge desk who assisted with a ride to the airport, not a lot of great points. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4pm, an hour after check-in time. Two separate clerks, while checking us in at desk, directed us to specific elevators that couldn't get us to our room on third floor (there was construction making the way impossible. We had a maid tell us to get back on elevators and go up a floor, cross over, and then take another elevator back down). After a long travel day it was a further delay and frustration that could have been avoided if front desk staff were thoughtful how to better direct us initially. Room was fine and we slept well at night, but there was construction noise during the day. Final aggravation was really poor wireless throughout our stay. Hotel was safe, convenient to transit and places to eat, but I would explore other options before returning.
"nice hotel, really good location"
Booked for 3 nights. Excellent location and very helpful staff.Especially Peter from concierge who looked after us, helping to get tickets and dinner reservations, very knowledgeable with a "can do" attitude. Our room was very nice and clean, but appeared smaller then on pictures. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
"Perfect location for the Royal Albert Hall with excellent service."
Access to the car park wasn't made clear but the doorman couldn't have been more helpful, moved the barriers and guided me to a suitable space for the duration of our visit. Bags were taken to our room which was perfectly equipped but a little on the bijou size. We were going to the Albert Hall so dined in their restaurant for convenience which was excellent, great staff and spoke perfect English, a little expensive by the time drinks are added, even for central London. Superb breakfast buffet. We were able to check out but leave the car safely on site while we had lunch with friends. Obviously a very well trained staff. ALL very polite, friendly, most helpful. Not forgetting it was my birthday and a complimentary birthday cake was delivered to our room, nice touch. Will stay again.
