Holiday Inn London Kensington is just 150 metres from High Street Kensington Underground Station. The famous Museum Mile is a 10-minute walk, and Earl’s Court is a 15-minute walk away.
Hotel ok. Quiet location. Breakfast ok.Comment of T. Johan , Denmark the 2016-11-28
Great location, clean room. Check in very slow and only one lift working on our side of the building, but I would definitely stay here again, great value for money.Comment of M. Stephanie , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Had a family weekend in London with my 74 year old mother, 14 year old niece and 5 year old daughter. All of our needs were catered for. The rooms had been refurbished and were clean and tidy. The staff were so helpful and friendly it was a pleasure staying there. Location is fab.Comment of S. Donna , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Although the hotel is now branded as a Holiday Inn, the service and helpfulness of the staff has not changed. It was again very enjoyable stay.Comment of B. Ian , United Kingdom the 2016-10-25
It was a very pleasant experience staying here for two nights. Since we arrived, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was impeccable and very comfortable. The locations is fantastic having the underground a block away and the hotel can arrange any transport for you. We highly recommend this hotel and will be back for sure.Comment of B. "Average at best!"
Average is the best word to describe this hotel. We stayed in a king room which was tiny (even for London standards) it was basically just big enough for a bed! Bathroom was fine and clean although the room did have a musty smell as if it needed some fresh air! Room service was shocking even with a 12.5% service charge and the wifi was the poorest we've experienced in a hotel for some time. For the price we expected much better. The free star bucks coffee at check in was a nice touch but generally check in staff not overly friendly! The location however is good and only a 30 second walk from Kensington High Street tube station but overall we would not return to the hotel
Great hotel great staff, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was fantastic and the rooms were luxurious. I Who would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anybody who would like to book it. You are 2 minutes away from the train station that takes you to Victoria
"Worst customer experience!!!!"
In the morning i had requested the room to be cleaned, but haveing returned in the afternoon found out it still had not been done. Called reception and was told they would send someone in 30 min. Returned to room at night to discover it still had not been done. Obviously called reception, who brought me linen and towels to do it myself.
"Not returning "
Let's start with check in... A long wait. Then being forced into paying a £50 "accident deposit" despite having a long history of staying at IHG group properties and being a gold elite member of their reward scheme. Non of the staff seem to have a level of spoken English that made me feel like I was being properly understood. The room was well fitted out, maintained and clean - but it was absolutely tiny. The shower room was again well fitted and very clean. Sadly the design did mean it was inevitable the floor would get flooded by using the shower. The whole place is very, very noisy. From inside the room you could everything being said in the corridor, the beeping from the lift.... oh and absolutely everything that was happening in the rooms on either side. What's the point of offering free WiFi that doesn't let you log on'
Stayed for 3 nights last weekend. Check in was fine and hotel looked good. First problem is they demand £50 deposit and when asked why, it was apparently for any additional expenses. Had booked a room only and when I asked about breakfast I was told that it would be £12 if booked in advance. I tried to do this the next night but was then informed that breakfast was £19 and must be booked at the time of arrival. When I informed the girl this was not conveyed to me on arrival she was extremely abrupt. (poor customer service). I booked a King Standard room which was so small but clean and tidy and probably the smallest in the hotel. Very noisy and poor sound proofing from rooms next door. Have stayed numerous times in the London Forum with no problems and will never be back in this one. I asked when leaving about my £50 deposit and was given an unsatisfactory answer about it being credited back quickly by another abrupt receptionist . Avoid if you can and better hotels near by.
