"Location easy to walk without all the noise of the Barceloneta"
The hotel has a very good location, it is really easy to walk all the best places in Barcelona. Also is very close to the best places to eat. Also has a metro station near the hotel that brings you the opportunity to avoid walk if you feel too tired.
"OK hotel but not a 4 star property."
We chose this hotel because of its location, nice rooms and that it was stated as a four star property. Our room was in the second floor. The room was small, but the decor was nice, with a large bathroom. The bed was a 140 cm queen bed with low quality. The walls are thin and the hallways are dark. The view is towards a back alley. The room was clean and tidy. The hotel has no facilities at all, no bar, restaurant, pool, gym etc. The lobby was large and nice but was always empty and worked more like waiting area/decoration. We did not try the breakfast. The hotel will not accommodate any changes in your reservation, so please be aware. Because of the low service level, we feel that the hotel is overpriced.
Hotel was more than Ok, only issue I had room 103 which faced onto the main road. I expected traffic noise but not clanking metal sounds from the bar opposite in the early hours - did not sleep well. Also, no bottled water in the room which I would expect from a 4 star hitel😊
"nice little hotel in Barcelona"
Nice little hotel centrally located in Barcelona. Airport bus stop only a few blocks away. We had a comfortably room with a terrace. A lot of small good restaurants nearby, and short walk to the crowded La Rambla
We stayed at Hotel Advance for 3 nights and we booked the stay through Secret Escapes. The location was great (although we did get a bit lost when we tried to find it from the airport!) with it being a 5 to 10 minute walk from the main square, Las Ramblas and quite a few metro stations. Our room was upgraded so we had a lovely patio. The room was a bit small, but we were out exploring the whole day so we didn't need a bigger room. The walls seem to be quite thin however as we could hear people talking and slamming doors. The breakfast wasn't as great as I expected and just had a selection of pastries, cereals and some eggs (which were a bit cold). In all, I would recommend staying at this hotel if you are just looking for a place to rest and have easy access to transport links.
