"Good standard but not top Hotel"
Stayed here for business only one night. It is not a luxury hotel but perfectly does the job, and considering Switzerland is quite expensive, this is a good choice unless you're looking for something very special. Close to the train Station and walkable downhill to the lake.
I stayed to this hotel as I was there for a business trip for 2 nights. Very cozy and beautiful decoration. Receptionist speak very good English and very polite. Breakfast was a variety of staff cold and hot. Breakfast was on the last floor where there is an amazing view. I recommend this!!
"Great location ,comfortable stay and good value."
Stayed for 01 night in last week of May. Hotel is located close to the Lausanne train station. Rooms are of decent size and well equipped with basic amenities. Cafe and restaurants are located in the hotel vicinity. Reception is very helpful and keen to provide you information about the town. The hotel provides a free travel card for using public transport. Breakfast is provided at the roof top restaurant which has nice views. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a decent value for money kind of place.
"Great location, clean, friendly staff"
I was in Lausanne for three nights for a work trip and stayed at the Agora Swiss Night. The location is excellent -- an easy 10-15 minute walk from all the shops and restaurants and right across the street from a beautiful park and botanical garden. The hotel was funky and modern with very interesting design. I was impressed by the staff. Breakfast is offered upstairs with great views of the lake. The rooms are small but tidy. I would absolutely stay again.
"opportunity for improvement"
Pros: - good breakfast - breakfast room offers scenic view on the Lac Leman and the Alps - clean rooms - surrounding area is quiet and only a few steps away from the metro station "Grancy" and the central train station Cons: - Problems during check-in: Although I have directly booked via the website of the hotel, my reservation was not on the booking system of the hotel. This led to confusion. It was my big advantage that I had a print out of the confirmation email but even with the confirmation/booking number, the reception was not able to find it. - only a few parking spaces. I arrived at round about 7:00 pm and was told that parking spaces are no longer available at the hotel garage (you cannot make a reservation for a parking lot in advance). The hotel offered me to park my car at the parking garage next to the train station - as a hotel guest I got a special rate. If it is raining, it will be inconvenient to walk to/from the hotel... - technical problems with the safe in the room are not uncommon according to the information of the staff. I stored my valuable items in the safe and wanted to re-open the safe. Nothing happened...the display of the safe remained black (the battery was empty). I informed the reception about the problem and she informed me that she will be in my room in 10 minutes. 35 minutes later nobody has arrived for which reason I walked again downstairs to the reception. There, I was informed that nobody had time to come to the my room. As you may imagine, I do not re-open the safe to say "hello" to my belongings rather do I want to take something out of the safe. Technical problems may happen but I expect that someone takes care about it (within a reasonable time)! I came too late to the appointment with a new potential business partner (Putting yourself in his shoes: What about someone is telling you that he is too late because the safe did not open...). - the blind cannot lifted individually. It is operated centrally. The rooms are small and the basin is in the corridor (I booked the superior room). Sad, that the my review cannot be better due to the problems I was faced although the room was clean and the breakfast good.
