"Great hotel and staff "
Great location, spotlessly clean rooms and reception area. Sky bar and pool are lovely, unfortunately I was here on my own on a business trip so didn't make full use of it. Very friendly and attentive staff. Parking expensive and negotiating the entrance to the car lift that takes you down the 3 floors to it was very awkward, you would have no chance in a large SUV or minivan. Only missed out on 5/5 as breakfast was a little disappointing, eggs and bacon were almost cold and there was no butter for the bread. I was expecting a bit better for price . However everything else was to a very high standard
"Nice hotel, but airco works only when you are in the room"
Nice hotel, modern rooms, but airco works only when you are in the room (you need the door key). Good location in Sitges. Bathroom however is designed by somebody not taking a shower (where to put soap' where to hang towels'). Room service was sloppy (e.g. no coffee pads with machine) Prices fluctuatie very much on website. Find the right deal.
"Sky Bar Needs Sorting - Otherwise Good"
We are staying here for six nights in a Junior Suite. This is an expensive hotel at neatly €400 per night (with breakfast & parking) but reputed to be the best hotel in the central area. It is 4 star not 5 star and therefore don't expect face cloths, tissues or more than a small bottle of water in the rooms. The rooms generally are great with good rain showers and ours with a couple of sinks and a bath. The junior suites are on the corner looking at the back of the Calipolis and then the sea. Other standard rooms have limited views or on lower floors no view at all, are small and no rooms have balconies. The hotel has a great spa which hotel guests have to pay to use whilst suites get one hour free. It's a bit mean really although I suspect the spa might be independently run. The best feature is the Sky Bar which is a destination and here the problems start. The problem is that anyone can use the Sky Bar and use it they do. There are only seven rather uncomfortable beds by the unheated but attractive plunge pool. There is no check at all on who uses them. Therefore you are VERY lucky if you get one as you are competing with not only other hotel guests but hotel visitors too. Secondly there is no service priority for hotel guests so you can wait an age to get served behind a queue of outsiders. For example this morning a group of outside guests came to sit by the pool, take lots of selfies and not even order a coffee or drink. Why management cannot or don't want to control the pool is amazing. The Sky Bar is sold for parties and events so often there are noisy parties going on at lunch and the pool closes at 7pm anyway for dinner/evening events. Clearly the management dilemma is that they sell the hotel to hotel guests at a high price who expect to be able to use the Sky Bar. However they make significant revenue from the Sky Bar and want to use it for events and outside guests. This really needs sorting out as hotel guests get a raw deal which is why I give the hotel three stars. I still recommend the hotel if you can afford it but my suggestion for the Sky Bar would be to keep the pool area itself ONLY for hotel guests and no one else. They need new and more beds and they need to prioritise service for hotel guests as well. Finally the staff working there are generally very good but the Sky Bar is understaffed. This results in slow service. But it is only a four star hotel so maybe we shouldn't expect too much from the MIM Group who now manage this hotel!
"Good position , Great Sky Bar"
Stayed here a couple of times for business. Decor is good and has modern boutique style feel. All the the staff are very helpful and friendly. Didn't eat here apart from breakfast which is the usual continental style hot and cold buffet. For leisure there is a rooftop pool surrounded by a sky bar all very well laid out. Only downside for me is lack of balcony in rooms and window didn't open , probably for safety (from the outside there looks to be some balconys on the road side - I have a feeling these may be suites but I haven't researched). It is very handy being close to the beach and restaurants. In summary I would definitely recommend as long as you don't mind a lack of balcony. Hope this is helpful.
Just returned from Stiges, stayed at the MIM clean, classy, great location, If youre travelling with a platonic friend you might think twice the bathroom offers very little privacy NO DOOR,window in bathroom gives full view of person in bed. As I was travelling with a business partner we kind of laughed it off as weird, door to toilet offers very little in terms of privacy when closed you could hear everything the shower has no hook so at least you can enter and then remove you robe to afford you some privacy. the room safe is flat on the floor, ridiculous for an older person needing to store documents. the pillows are of poor quality.
