Stayed here for 2 nights whilst we had a good look at Bruges. Good clean hotel that charges extra for parking. Breakfast good with a good selection and choice from buffet. Includes smoked salmon and cava. Feather pillows available on request. Would stay here again without hesitation. One Sunday a year the main square is closed to cars, it was the day we arrived! Which made it difficult getting to the place as the police had closed roads and we had to provide proof of our booking before they would let us through. The hotel could/should of warned us about this when we booked. Good varied entertainments for free in the main square though. Unfortunately the weather was against us but it was a good stay in Bruges nevertheless. Hope you found this review useful and can give me a helpful vote.
"What a great way to start a vacation"
I don't know which to rate exceptional; the hotel or its staff. Located close to what tourists like with comfortable rooms and furnishings, it is the place to stay in this quaint city. Of course, the included breakfast is extensive and appealing and tasty. I recommend this hotel also for its history. Since this was a package tour, I don't know the per night rate.
"The place to stay in Bruges"
Lovely hotel in centre of Bruges, excellent food. Staff friendly and helpful. Underground car parking a bonus. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Great big slabs of chocolate on breakfast buffet!! will be visiting again
We had 3 different rooms and all were well appointed. The Spa was beautiful and the grounds were nice. Reception was helpful with rooms, sightseeing and dining suggestions. Breakfast was very good and the location was fantastic!
"Wonderful Location in a Beautiful Hotel, But Management Needs Improvement"
In many ways this hotel sets the standard. We stayed for two nights as part of a Viking River Cruise extension. The hotel is elegant and comfortable with exceptional design and décor. The breakfast buffet was the most sumptuous we have ever experienced, with everything imaginable including huge blocks of Belgian chocolate and champagne. The lounge is very comfortable and elegant and a great place for a drink or tea after a day's sightseeing. The garden is beautiful, another welcoming retreat from a busy day. The only aspect that was lacking was the check-in. Our room was not ready and we were tired and jet lagged, and really needed some comforting, but instead of directing us to their elegant lounge or garden we sat and waited in a less elegant hallway and waited over two hours. Our luggage arrived yet another hour after checking in. Everything that followed that less-than -five- star check in was, however, wonderful.
