My husband and I felt like royalty when we stayed here. The rooms are huge, the staff attentive and the breakfast amazing! Also, the hotel is conveniently located to all the sites. The longest walk was to the windmills which we highly recommend (20 minutes).
"Worthy of its five stars"
We have just returned from a three night stay here. Staying in room 426, we had a fab view of the Belfry and church tops. Lovely to see when the sun came up in the morning. Location is excellent. Perfect for walking to and from all the main sights (two minute walk to the Markt for example). Breakfast was amazing. Belgian chocolate slabs and champagne to start! Huge selection of meats and cheese, pastries and all the elements for a full English! Reception helped us to book taxis and restaurant reservations too. The room was a great size, the bathroom was huge too. Air con was excellent, nice little Nespresso and free water included. TV had a few English channels but if you go to Bruges to watch TV, you are missing out!!! Would maybe suggest smaller pillows for those of us who prefer this (the two we had were massive!!!) but apart from this, we loved it and will be back!!
Stunning, everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel and more. The hotel has an abundance of character and stunning beauty. But what really stands out above all else is the service and hospitality of the staff. We were upgraded to a duplex room which was lovely. The bar is beautiful and you don't really ever want to leave. The location is right in the centre of the town and couldn't be better for walk to and from attractions. Highly recommend this hotel, you will not be disappointed.
The hotel was stunning! Our room was luxurious and comfortable. The staff helpful. The restaurant food really lovely. Breakfast was perfect. The only issue was the spa... we were there for my 30th Birthday and were there for 5 days. There was not one appointment available in the spa which was really disappointing. Part of the reason this hotel was booked was because of the spa so unfortunately that was a major let down.
"City break with friends "
Have just spent four nights here with my husband, our friends stayed in another hotel about ten minutes walk away. We thought that the Dukes Palace was an amazing hotel and would recommend it to everyone. The bar and lounges were beautiful and very welcoming, our friends came for a drink there and were also, impressed. Our room (419) was lovely, clean, large with a fabulous bathroom and windows opening onto the lovely garden. There was no noise at night and we slept really well.
