"Outstanding staff make for a great hotel."
We too were warmly greeted by the staff even though arriving just prior to midnight! The hotel arranged for someone to meet our late arriving plane and for 22 Euros we were whisked off to the hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet ( even though facing the crazy busyness of St. George's Road, once the door to the balcony was closed) and the small balcony overlooking the bay provided a place to us to watch the passing parade of other tourists, tour buses, city buses and the water traffic. The front desk staff were simply amazing: didn't ever hear the words "I can't do that" ... it was always, "of course I can help you ....................." If there is any criticism it would be the skating rink bathtub one needed to stand poised in to shower. We were able to obtain a no skid mat from the housekeeping staff which made it much safer for us. Breakfast is served in the foyer restaurant/bar area and can be included in your room rate or paid for separately. The pool on the top floor is excellent with towels provided beside the pool and room service available by picking up a phone there. The view from the roof top is stunning. If you prefer a less congested location you might choose one of the other areas of the city.
"Our second stay at the Juliani"
We spent 5 nights in May at the Juliani and had a most enjoyable time, from the exceptionally warm welcome by Manwel and followed up by all the staff. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The pool on the top floor looked inviting even though we didn't use it. Breakfast was really good with a hot and cold buffet and with freshly squeezed orange juice and good coffee. The in house car park proved to be a bonus we hadn't anticipated using. There are plenty of restaurants overlooking the harbour but go an extra 50 metres and look out Lulu's, a gem of a restaurant in St Julians
"Fantastic Hotel and Views"
This was my third stay at this lovely boutique hotel and it was fantastic. From the warm welcome you get when you arrive, giving you some Kinnie to drink, to the friendly and helpful staff there is nothing to fault about this hotel. Location is great close to everything. The view from your balcony is so beautiful, words don't do it justice. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Thanks again for a memorable stay.
I loved hotel Juliani. From the second we walked in the service was impeccable. We were sat in comfortable chairs to check in and fill out any details, we were offered a traditional drink and then when we went up to our room we were so happy. Views of the bay, great location for st Julian's, sliema and also a short bus ride to valetta. There is a supermarket just around the corner if you want to buy drinks and sit on the balcony. It was just all around fabulous. The decor was nice and relaxed/modern. The pool area on the roof was beautiful. On my birthday they even had a glass of prosecco and a candle/little cake ready for me when I came down for breakfast. Would definitely visit again!
"Stunning views & the BEST service from staff"
My partner & I stayed this April and arrived on my 30th birthday for 7 nights. From the moment we arrived, we felt like VIP's by the caring and professional staff. Nothing was too much to ask, in particular we had a few questions about the bus schedules, all easily answered and no trouble. As we got into the room, a bottle of Prosecco was chilling in an ice bucket...as well as a personalised letter from the GM welcoming us to the hotel. Special touches. The rooftop pool is a great area, although a little chilly in April, I did make it in just the once on a warm(ish) day & it was refreshing - I would love to come back in summer to enjoy the warmer weather. The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious and the added Maltese touches made it even more special (for a foodie like me) We also had a delicious dinner at Zest (Asian fusion restaurant in the hotel) the food really was top notch however we found the prices a touch on the high side and probably wouldn't splurge again. The location in St Julian's really is so convenient I would highly recommend the hotel based purely on this, the spectacular views and incredible staff have made it the best hotel we have ever been fortunate enough to stay at and we have travelled extensively. We WILL be returning again. Thank-you so much for giving us the holiday of a lifetime, it really was amazing. Local tip: Try the gelato at the little store as your turn left from the hotel walk for 20 seconds and you'll see it. Also Ir-Rokna (walking distance from the hotel) has the most incredible pizzas ever! Juuls Reggae Bar again across the road from the hotel does awesome cocktails & delicious veggie food, great vibes. All worth a visit.
