Located in Madrid's luxurious district of Salamanca, the Miguel Ángel Hotel is only a few steps away from the historic district and is situated close to the principal museums as Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza or Reina Sofia, but also close to the emblematic Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and the International Fais Park IFEMA. It only takes 10 minutes by car to reach the historical center of the city or the Madrid-Barajas International Airport.
Stayed april 2017, very close to the metro, one of the closest hotels to the Santiago bernabeo stadium. Had a problem with A/C, someone came right away and tried to fix it, didnt do much of a job unfortunately. Staff are very polite and helpful, hotel clean & modern, decent breakfast. Overall reccomended.
"Old fashioned and not what I want from a hotel in business"
I found the rooms too dark and full of wood. There was so much furniture in the room that I found it difficult to put up the ironing board. On that note, I hate hotels where you don't get an ironing board in the room - they only have a trouser press which says to me that they are catering to the male business traveller and not the female one! The rooms also lack wall plugs! It really is unacceptable to have to unplug the lamp to charge a phone and there was only one plug socket, so I had to wake up in the middle of the night to switch over to charge my I Pad! One positive was the service - very attentive and the check in on the Club Level was very fast and efficient. The club lounge facilities on that level are also very useful.
Cosmopolitan hotel located in financial district with Metro station steps away from front door. Our room was clean but only one outlet in bedroom plus one in the bathroom; limiting charging of devices. The shower temperature fluctuated wildly in the mornings. An extensive breakfast buffet was included. The staff was very helpful with Metro assistance and when we had problems with our safe. It is a long distance to tourist sites.
"DEFINITELY NOT 5 STAR - POTENTIAL FOR 4 STAR is POSSIBLE"
Have stayed at this property on many occasions. First the positive: >Great Location >Wonderful Staff >Excellent Breakfast >Beautiful Urban Garden This hotel is desperately in need of a refresh to bring it up the grandeur that you can see that it once was. Filthy and thread barren hallway carpeting, torn drapes, shower curtains and chipped paint/furniture (as portrayed in the pictures here) in many of the rooms need to be addressed. For a hotel guest, the most important factor is the sleep experience, and while some mattresses have been updated/upgraded, many rooms have some of the poorest beds I've experienced in a hotel of this calibre. To Hotel Management: Check out Room 406 - Concave and collapsing mattress and creaking bed.
"Good Location but Decor needs work."
Stayed here over 4 nights as part of a tour. Utilised their club rooms. While large rooms things like the carpet need to be fixed as threadbare. It is in a good location for transport and restaurants. It does have a breakfast set up that should suit all diets.
