"Fantastic Stay. Highly recommend!"
Firstly, the building itself is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful stone and sculpture. The reception staff were so friendly, always smiling and really helpful. We arrived at around 1pm and were surprised our room was ready (although they did say this was due to most bookings being in the next couple of days rather than the Sunday we arrived). The room was beautiful. I traveled with my sister but we had a twin room, with a sofa and armchair, flatscreen tv, tea and coffee, microwave and hotplate so we could cook if we wanted to. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was spacious. The only problem there I would say is that you have to climb into the bathtub to get into the shower and although this was not a problem for us, it may be for older people or those with joint pains etc. Although, there may be rooms available for these circumstances. The breakfast was included and was excellent. Unlimited fruit juice and tea or coffee. A selection of local Latvian cuisine as well the usual Brit type food - bacon, scrambled or boiled egg (3 or 5 minutes), pancakes, fresh fruit (at least five types every morning!) yogurt, croissants, toast, cereal, pancakes, scones, roasted vegetables and meat/fish platters. Something for everyone for sure! Location wise, it was fabulous. You're right on the doorstep of Dome Square and the Old town, which is gorgeous. Everything is within walking distance. Apart from the bath issue I would say the only other thing was our room was rubbish for being on the 4th floor but that is not really a massive thing for all the time we were in the room, more just a 'it would be nice photo' sort of thing. Didn't really spoil it at all. Absolutely amazing stay. We got it on a deal of £500 for 5 nights so between 2 it was £250 each for 5 nights) but it was worth every penny! Would stay here again if I ever return to Riga (which I hope to do!).
"Only there a short while but very nice "
We got in late and left early. So, we didn't have much of an opportunity to experience the hotel. This was a shame It is very cool decor-wise. Great location. Very nice staff. Good breakfast. Extremely comfortable and large rooms.
"Fantastic location, service, and rooms!"
Fantastic boutique hotel right in the heart of the old city. Great place to start your journeys through the amazing streets and sites of Riga. My room was very spacious and had views of church steeples; of course, there are church steeples everywhere, so maybe it's not that unique in this area. Bottom line: location, service, and room quality are top-notch and I'd certainly stay here again if I were in the city.
"Beautiful building, beautiful hotel"
I stayed at Neiburgs Hotel for a few days last week. The hotel is well situated in the Old City with the Cathedral Square in front of it and the Town Hall Square behind it, housed in a beautiful Art Nouveau building that is a stop on many of the guided tours round the city. My room (504) had a small balcony that gave a lovely view of the Cathedral. The rooms are laid out like apartments with comfortable seating areas and a kitchenette. This had a sink, hob, microwave and hot plate and you could self cater, although I'm not sure why you would want to given the hotel's fabulous restaurant and the multitude of bars and restaurants nearby. The room was tastefully furnished and there was not a speck of dust to be found anywhere. The bed was comfy and the large bathroom well stocked with toiletries, as well as robes and slippers. The buffet breakfast had an ample and delicious selection of hot and cold dishes. My only complaint, which is something that the hotel is not responsible for, is that there was some outside noise - especially when there was music in the Cathedral Square. Nothing that earplugs or going to the Square and listening to it can't sort out! The staff are polite, professional and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and if/when I return to Riga I would definitely stay there again.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I booked a two-story suite, and it had very interesting layout, with fantastic view of the city. The room had all necessities that a boutique hotel should offer. It was actually more of an apartment, with a dining area, kitchenette and office nook downstairs and a bedroom area upstairs. The staff was very attentive to details and nice. Gita, the front desk manager, was fantastic. I asked for flowers to be put in my room for when I arrive, and the arrangements were very tastefully done and just beautiful. Breakfast was included in my stay, and I went a couple of times. I normally prefer just coffee in a morning, and have a favorite place I go to just a block or so away. Hence only a couple of times that I went. It was served at the restaurant downstairs, a very nice variety of options, buffet-style. They also offered espresso drinks as alternative to regular coffee. Lastly, and a cherry on top - location, location, location. You will be very close to the Dome Square, and minutes away from anything in the Old Town. Overall I highly recommend this place. The building is an architectural gem, one of the many incredible examples of art nouveau buildings you can find in central Riga, but I believe the only one in the Old Town.
