"Excellent and elegant."
The hotel is set in a gorgeous Art Nouveau building, right in the centre of the old town. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable (only a small drawback : the water pressure in the shower was not strong enough). Furniture and decoration are modern and sleek. Breakfast was great. The staff was extremely efficient, particularly Rinalds who helped us in many ways.
"Great location, rooms and staff"
Delightful hotel right in the old town. The staff are professional, friendly and very helpful. The rooms, spacious and well laid out with great beds, rain showers and amenities. The small gym is just what’s needed and there is even a sauna that you can have to yourself with a booking. Good food at the restaurant and very attentive staff. Highly recommended.
"Great location "
This hotel is located right in the centre of old Riga close to shops restaurants bars and only 2 minutes walk to the river. The hotel has a modern Art Deco style and the staff are friendly. We stayed in room 402 a weekend trip for our 7 anniversary. The room was a great size with living area with mini kitchen and roll top bath. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was attention to detail! There was a mini kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge and kettle but no pots to cook with and cutlery to eat with yet they had cup, glasses, plates and bowls. There was a note pad in the room to use but no pen and a questionnaire to complete but that had already been done by the last guest. Overall I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it to friends and family.
"A good 4 stars "
Advertise as 5 stars, the service and the room didn't follow the standards. The architectural building is nice and the location is great. Restaurant was nice but not great as the rest of the hotel. Staff were nice, especially to show me the way to the parking
"Great location in the heart of Old Town"
We stayed for four nights in room 601. Beautiful view plus skylights. Shopping, small play ground, museums, outdoor cafes, pubs, restaurants, convenience store, pharmacy, Dome Square, stunning architecture and historic churches are within easy walking distance. Hotel positives: Good wi-fi. Tasteful decor. Jazz vocals play softly in the background in the library. Picture worthy views. Bathrooms: large, spotless bath tubs (bigger than hotels in U.S.; recommend a nice hot bath after walking all day). Magnifying mirror Terry bathrobes and slippers Room: Comfortable bed, good pillows, wide screen TV Large closets to store luggage out of the way. Electronic safe. Sitting area with table PLUS a desk. Kitchenette with large sink, microwave, electric kettle, dishes, cutlery, bottle opener. Front desk and housekeeping thorough and professional. Restaurant Breakfast. Buffet style offerings are numerous from cold smoked salmon and green salads to scrambled eggs, croissants, and cereals. There are crepes, quiche, fresh fruit salad, watermelon and more. Coffee is ordered and made fresh, cream served warm in a small pitcher. Coffee does not sit in a carafe or in a glass pot getting burnt or stale. This is Europe, after all, where that would be considered a crime. Restaurant Wonderful food, well prepared and presented. I had soup for lunch - always interesting and delicious, and I'm not a soup person. Had the perfectly baked salmon for dinner repeatedly, it was that good, and @ €13.50, a bargain. Negatives: Can't think of any. Highly recommend a stay here for comfort, style, service and convenience.
