Easy access to the Hotel Panorama from the “Marco Polo Airport” by taking the shuttle connecting boat "Alilaguna" (10€ per person; every 30 minutes), or from the Treviso airport (Ryanair), by taking the shuttle bus to the Piazzale Roma.
Friendly staff, nice room, good breakfast. Location near the waterbus. Super!Comment of T. Suzanne , Netherlands the 2015-11-27
"Great location, if a bit noisey"
We picked this hotel because of location - it was close to the water taxis and buses and a short ferry ride to Piazza San Marco. We had a great room with a view of Piazza San Marco. We also decided on Lido because it was much less crowded. Lido is very beautiful and "quaint". The room was very small and there was nowhere to sit other than the bed. TV was not a TV, more of a computer screen. All satellite channels I tried were in Italian. Not that I was dying to watch TV, but it would have been nice to catch the morning news in the states before heading to bed. The shower was RIDICULOUSLY small. Really small. Like don't drop the soap because you cannot bend down to get it! The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We also liked that we could have a quick breakfast at the hotel before heading out for the day. The walk to the beach was not bad at all, probably about 10 minutes. We passed the local market on the way and would pick up food for lunch on the beach later. There was also a great restaurant, which for some reason the hotel did not recommend, called Laguna, I think. If you left the hotel and go left, past the vaparetto station it's right there on the water. The only down side to the location was the noise. You need to keep the windows closed because it gets LOUD. Good news is that closing the windows does the trick.
"July Venice Trip"
Cannot fault this hotel, staff friendly and helpful, close to the waterbus stop. If you are staying here visit the terrace the view towards Venice is amazing. If we visit Venice again this is where we will stay
"Lovely Hotel : great Lido location"
The Panorama is a small hotel opposite the water taxi terminal on Lido di Venezia, with wonderful views of Venice across the Laguna. The hotel is quaintly furnished but very nice . Facilities are excellent and the room was very nice, very clean and bathroom well supplied. Breakfast is good and typical Southern European in variety . Cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, cold meats, cheese etc . The staff were wonderful and very friendly and went out there way to make our stay enjoyable. Even happy to serve us drinks late in the evening on the first floor terrace. It is a pity there is no lunch or dinner facilities but I imagine the hotel is too small for this. Ideal hotel for anyone wanting a holiday on the Lido with easy access to Venice . Fine for business also if meetings are on the Lido. Otherwise staying directly in Venice would save water taxi trips. However if you are happy to take the boat each day the hotel and Lido are a quiet oasis away from the stress of Venice. Good range of nice restaurants near the hotel, at prices way cheaper than in Venice. Finally, unlike some other comments , internet was free and surprisingly fast . Recommended !
"Perfect haven from the crowds in Venice"
We stayed here for 3 nights, and it was perfect. Just 10 minutes vaporetto ride from Saint Marks, but well away from the crowds and chaos of Venice. The rooms are comfortable, the terrace gives beautiful views across the lagoon to the city, there's a good breakfast and the reception staff are very friendly and helpful. And that's unusual in a tourist trap like Venice. If we return to Venice, we will definitely stay here again. It's considerably cheaper than hotels in the main city, so is a good alternative.
"Picked the right hotel for our first stay in Venice!"
It was mine and my boyfriend's first time visiting Venice, and the island of Lido was recommended to us as you have the best of both worlds. You have the beach and then you can catch the water bus for 15 minutes to get to the main attractions in Venice. It sounded like the perfect location and when I found this lovely hotel right outside where you catch the water bus I thought fantastic! And it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel has access to a private beach in the summer and for 10 Euros each you get 2 sun beds and an umbrella. The beach is about a 10 minute walk and is absolutely gorgeous. Miles of golden sand and a nice snack bar on the private section we had access to. The continental breakfast included in the room price was very good, we felt we had enough choice and the staff are constantly refilling it when things run out. The decor throughout the hotel was lovely. I don't think the hotel needs updating, I think it's got an old fashioned, vintage feel in keeping with the historical city of Venice. It's not to everyone's taste I guess but it is to mine so I was happy with it. The only criticisms I have are the room was a bit small considering we were given a free upgrade to a superior room. I wondered what the standard room would have been like! But it had a really nice bathroom with a shower & large sink. The room was very clean and had everything you need apart from tea & coffee making facilities which was strange but we weren't too bothered about that. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and you could hear quite a bit of noise from the room but we managed. You would expect noise given the location. The air conditioning was so loud it kept me awake but luckily we found we didn't need it because it wasn't that hot at night. I wouldn't want to stay here in July or August when I'm guessing you would need it on! Overall we were pleased with the hotel and glad we chose it.
