Great friendly staff very helpful. Rooms very nice clean and spacious. Large double bed plenty of wardrobe space. super breakfast with great selection of hot and cold food. The hotel is centrally located a good base from which to see the wonderful city. Ensure you get the right petit palace as they are 3 of them.
Stayed here for just one night May 2017. The room was deplorable, torn curtains (see foto) ripped chair, dirty moldy bathroom, chipped paint, warped wallpaper. We asked for another room which was only marginally better...i.e., there was no torn chair since there was NO chair. And the curtains were not ripped. I cannot advise strongly enough to STAY AWAY from this hotel. The black walls just cover up the dirt, I feel. Miserable. And, by the way, they say they are upgrading the installation...did not see or hear any workmen doing anything at all. I guess that was the Hotel's form of damage control...saying that they were upgrading.
"Good Hotel on Great Location"
I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in May 2017. We arrived before 15:00, but our room was ready for us, which was nice. We were with 4 adults (20+), and booked a 4 persons room. The room is sufficient enough in terms of space, bathroom is big compared to the actual room. Bathroom was good, but could be cleaned better. There were finger prints on the mirror and a lot of chalk on the showerhead and on the tap. The next day we only received two clean towels, whilst we were in a 4 persons room. Bunk bed is not really easy to climb on, as the 'stairs' are thin and small iron rods. Wi-Fi is for free but is not really strong. Breakfast was good, enough variation and the coffee is great! We wanted to take the free bikes that are included during your stay, but unfortunately there were only 3 bikes available as the 4th one had a flat tire. Location is great! Only a short walk to Passeig de Gracia and Placa de Catalunya. Staff is very friendly, and you need your card to enter the hotel which gives you a safe feeling. Overall, not 4 stars worthy but for sure had a good stay!
"Comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast"
The staff were very accommodating when we arrived over an hour before official check-in. They promptly dealt with us. Room was clean and comfy. Location was ideal with only short walks to restaurants and sights. The breakfast was extensive and very nice. Would recommend and have no problem staying here on a future visit. We paid more than the norm with it being Formula One weekend - only a 15 minute walk to the bus station and then 30 mins on the Sagales bus to the circuit.
"Nothing good to say"
Cold room, bath too dirty to use. Front staff helpful but wouldn't return here. The location is good, and the restaurant next door serves great breakfast and is popular with the locals. Our room had a spa bath but unfortunately the brown sludge surrounding the jet outlets put us off using it. The heating wasn't working and as we arrived late at night were too tired to be bothered to ask for help, but After saying that the room should have been warm for our arrival.
