"Large, Modern Room & Friendly, Excellent Concierge"
We spent a week at this hotel and we had an excellent experience. The staff at the front desk was very warm and friendly. The manager allowed us to check-in early and the staff frequently helped us with our restaurant & train reservations. The room was large, modern, and clean. There was a large television on the walk with quite a lot of channels. Breakfast was hot and fresh and they have a section devoted to eating healthy, which is easy to forget to do when you're staying in a hotel. The location could not have been better. Just about every major attraction is within walking distance and there are 3 different metro stops very close nearby. Cafes, shops, bars; it's all right here. One suggestion I would make to management- add some more lighting to the room. There wasn't a light near the desk, which made it difficult to use at night and it would be good to add another light to the bathroom close to the mirror. Overall, excellent choice!
"Great Location but Hotel has some flaws"
I chose this hotel because of the great location and was not disappointed but was not pleased with some things about the room beginning with the touted ‘modern design’ which was not user friendly. For example the night tables on either side of the bed were just a shelf about 4” above the floor, not useful for setting anything on, in fact to plug in a phone to charge it there it had to hang with only one end touching. There was no luggage rack and the square handles on the cupboards were difficult to use. There was also no decoration in the room. More problematic is the bathroom with a glass wall and door that doesn’t close tight, just a swinging door. If someone uses the bathroom in the night it will wake up the other person turning on the light. The shower was great. The bed was good and our room in the back was quiet. The amenities were fine and the breakfast was lovely with many healthy choices. I also wanted to mention that you can rent mobile hot spots from them for 5euros per day which was very helpful coming from another country.
I would rate five stars for the location....Breakfast was not great (very limited options)..... the ground floor room was cramped....hotel staff was friendly ....no complimentary water.....overall a mixed opinion with some pros and cons
"Very basic and simple Good breakfast"
Simple and basic Small room Beliche type bed for the kids- I was afraid my son could fall but there was no place to bring the matrice to the floor. Good shower Great breakfast Close to everything, great location
"Nice hotel in the heart of Madrid!"
The hotel is very nice and clean, however a lot of things are missing for this price. The rooms are small (some of them very dark), there is not a kettle and the equipments in general are poor. The staff is friendly but sometimes they wake you up by knocking on the door to clean the room. The breakfast is very good- fresh juices and smoothies, a large choice of cheeses and pastery. Overall a good but overpriced hotel!
