Great location, good price. Rooms are clean and well organised. The breakfast options are plenty and each of the staff members were notoriously caring and special. Excellent experience with this hotel!!
The hotel has a good location, one block to Florida Avenue. The room was spacious and confortable but the bathroom needs a reconditioning. Because near the hotel was a road work it was a little bit noise. Breakfast was very good. The staff at the reception was helpful and amiable.
"Great Location But Tired Hotel"
Checked into Pulitzer Hotel for a couple of days. Service was professional. Front desk staff spoke English. Everything about the hotel was tired/old. The bed was somewhat okay but one side of the double bed didn't have much support. Showing its age too. When I was there on a business trip (March 2017), there was a big roadwork happening. The jackhammer was annoying. Had to put on my noise-cancelling headphone on to mute the noise out. Breakfast was disappointing. Location on the other had was great. Just around the corner from Florida Ave and other main attractions. No problem catching local taxis or Uber. EZE Airport to downtown, we booked a 'limo' online (Blacklane). It cost us about US$80. On our return trip from downtown to EZE airport we took an Uber which cost US$31. Overall, if you are on a business trip and only really need a bed to sleep and somewhere relatively clean and safe - I would recommend this hotel for sure. It's a solid 3 Star hotel and it is reflected on the price - about US$80 per night! I read some people complaining about this and that but you get what you pay for. I was happy with the service (aircon was a bit noisy though).
"Great location "
If you need a hotel with friendly front office staff, nice rooms, good breakfast, a great Skybar and close by Avenida Florida ... this is it! They have a restaurant in the hotel with excellent food and a good selection of food on the menu. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from within walking distance.
"Should be much better"
There are better choices around. This place is fine if you have a reason to be at that location and you get a very cheap room. It's downtown, which doesn't mean you are in the BA equivalent of Manhatten, you're amongst many cheap stores and amongst a ''variety' of people. If it's style and culture you want to sample, head to Recoleta and Palermo. Taxis are cheap for the occasional visit to downtown. This place is all (somewhat dated) style and no substance. The hotel said the pool would be reopened for our visit. It wasn't. The gym was a gym but the equipment was unusable to the point of unsafe. I ended up exercising in the park. The popular rooftop bar makes no account of you being a resident so you get turned away after a hard day pounding the pavement. A good hotel will empower its staff to satisfy customers. This hotel obviously tells its many black suited staff to follow a process and no more. It was my wife's birthday and her family phoned the day before to ask for a surprise. They said they couldn't do anything. Not a candle in a breakfast muffin, not a drink, nothing. Breakfast is worth getting up early for since they don't always replenish items that are finished. Especially the hot stuff. The rooms are nice enough. Clean and enough space if you get a good room. The food was passable but it is worth going up or down the road if you want something better and cheaper. The bar closing time was quite random. I'd recommend trying somewhere else, but if you're stuck at this hotel, it's OK if you lower your expectations. We stored our luggage and they had a catastrophic leak which soaked our clothes. They gave us the cases without telling us and only when I went back did they admit to it. Obviously hoping I had got on a plane. Refused any compensation. All in all, the decorator did his job but the management are failing in theirs.
